  • Summary: From a performance standpoint, this board is tops. It really is nice. From every other perspective, the standard Intel board is much better. Let's look at the bad things about this board: 1) Still uses a hybrid BIOS. Not a full UEFI implementation. 2) Only two 6gbps SATA ports. 3) 6 SATA ports but only 4 cables. HUH? 4) Only the CPU fan can be controlled by BIOS or software. Other fans run at 100% or 50%. You need a separate fan controller for this board.

  • Summary: I purchased this mobo after returning an Asus P8P67 LE. Dear god, what a difference. First, to let you in on the story, I learned the hard way that even with its slick UI and flashy heat sinks, the P67 LE doesn't let you regulate voltages manually in the BIOS. You are stuck with autovolting :/ Also, the two pcie x16 slots will changes lanes to x16 and x4 when running two gpu's off them.
