Motherboard for my gaming PC. It doesn't disappoint
23 January 2013
Summary: I bought this some time ago for my gaming PC and I didn't want to write a review too soon before I gave it a chance to fail. So far it's held up very well. Everything worked the first time and since then there hasn't been any failings with it. My only gripe is with the software that comes with it. It's very... clunky.
Summary: Pros: This has been a great board. I have had no problems with it what so ever. I used it on my first "ground up" build and it has worked flawlessly since I powered it up. Great BIOS if you ask me and its easy to work with. Cons: None really.
Summary: This product performs like a brand new MB. Everything works beautifully...It came with manual, mb driver disc and was in mint condition. I use this in my primary computer and it gets lots of use..I am not a gamer but I have no reason to believe it would not perform superbly with that also.
Summary: i ordered this board from amazon . recieved my pakage opened it NO MOTHERBOARD WAS IN THE BOX but here is the brilliant part i called amazon they overnighted me another board free shipping as allways amazon lives up to there word if it would have been any other store i have a feeling i would have to wait at the most 2 weeks for a replacement . i kept getting the bsod with this board . i installed patriot memory .
Summary: Used this board with a Core i3 and turned it into a Mac (Hackintosh) - everything works great. Dual booting windows 7 64bit and Mac OSX 10.6.7 Drivers work fine and any boot loop issues are most likely due to RAM, not the board. This is not for beginners, the BIOS has plenty of fine tuning options and ish wont run if you have settings set wrong.
Summary: I'm sorry to see others had issues but I installed this and had it up and running smoothly in no time. Watch out for the crappy IE plug-in on the driver disk it's a pain. I went into the bios and changed the boot order but didn't try to overclock it.
Summary: This board is by far the worst, most buggy, blue screening piece of junk I've ever worked with. Not one of the drivers supplied on the CD will install correctly, or if they do manage to complete the computer is worthless and refuses to boot, I've reinstalled now four times, Windows Ultimate 64Bit. I've tried downloading the drivers from Gigabytes download center but this makes no difference. Take my advice, RUN don't walk, get as far away from this board as you can.
Summary: After about one month of use, the motherboard began exhibiting a reboot loop where it would power on for a few seconds, then turn off, then turn on, then off, and continue this endlessly. After getting no response from Gigabyte after requesting support on the website, I hunted down a phone number for the support staff. They helped diagnose the problem and it turned out to be a memory module that had gone bad after 6 weeks.
