Summary: Pretty satisfied with this board. Was stable right out of the box. Easy to install, Updating the BIOs is a snap with the tools. If you like to run your stuff a little hot, there is a good set of tools included to clock it up.
Summary: PROS: USB3, Easy overclocking for novices, Reasonable legacy device support, Fan speed control, Good manual CONS: Adapters for parallel and serial ports and floppy drive cable are not included. Only one PS2 port for either keyboard or mouse. Some minor issues - see below. COMMENTS: I bought this board in April 2010 and installed the i5 750 CPU and two SATA disks in an Intel RAID mirror.
Summary: Looks awseome with a blue-themed case (blue fans / cathodes / led inside and out Good layout good cable management if coupled with a good case future-proof excellent manual, makes putting together a comp very easy
Summary: I ordered this motherboard from Amazon.com and after doing the installation determined the motherboard was DOA. I am a very experienced computer builder and have built dozens of computers. After determining the motherboard was bad after carefull inspection I saw a few bent pins in the CPU socket. I'm absolutely positive I didn't cause this so I must assume this came from Gigabyte this way.
Summary: I was having some instability with my video card and after doing some research found that it could be any number of problems. After updating the BIOS I booted into it and adjusted lots of settings (CPU multiplier, memory overclocking, etc.) to more stable and/or correct values for the HW. So far it looks like my problem has gone away. So it seems like a good board, but it may need some adjustments specific to your hardware since its auto-detection was a little off.
