  • Summary: LAST YEAR (11 months ago), My old Gigabyte board (K8NS Pro) went out on me due to some COMPUTER TECHIE at COMP-USA repair shop (in NE Columbia,SC) forgetting that you can't re-use old thermal grease when you pull out a CPU (that was 6 months after their "warranty repair" so no Biggie).

Worked Great

Matt, Amazon
27 October 2011
  • Summary: I built my dad's PC several years back using a MSI AM2 motherboard and it went out for a second time, so I replaced it with the GA-MA78LM-S2H. Windows 7 64bit Home Premium instantly updated its drivers and it worked without any problems. I doubt I'll buy a MSI motherboard again.

  • Summary: Matched subject motherboard with a Phenom II X2 555BE processor and a two gigabyte memory kit [Crucial BL2CP12864AA106A DDR2-1066 (DDR2-8500 CL5).] Was able to use Gigabyte advanced clock control (acc) bios function to unlock additional two processor cores. Memory clocks at 5-7-7-24-2T by default at 1.8 volts when manually set to 533Mhz speed in the bios (default is 400Mhz in AUTO.) Must have an AMD AM3 processor to use DDR2-1066 memory (otherwise DDR2-800 is maximum.
