Pros: The board has worked well for over 5 years now with no housekeeping. I have used everything from an 8600 video card to 8800gtxxx to 5770 ati and it doesn't care, I am on my third power supply, the voltage out in the country is pretty spikey even though I do use a couple of surge limiters ahead of...
Summary: Great board even if old and Gigabyte's Bio is superb and easily understandable also completely relevant to a gamer! SLI ready(Which is what I'm doing with 9600's after having an XFX 8400gs 512mb G card in it for a year) It's just a reliable and cheap motherboard, I highly recommend!!!!!!
Pros: Works perfectly with a wide range of expansion slots. Two PCI Express slots (SLI) which are compatible with the newer PCI Express 2.0 video cards(They just run a little slower due to mobo restrictions of not being fast enough) Huge amount of RAM slots (16Gb) capable and you can also get faster dd...
Pros: Good, stable performance; 4 months with no issues which is a miracle for me. The board has plenty of onboard features, supports SLI, and can take newer AMD CPU's, so it's somewhat future-proofed.
Cons: Using a longer video card may get in the way of the chipset heatsink. My card (8800GT) goes right over it, but again I've had no problems myself.
Summary: Current system: This board, Brisbane 5400+ Black Edition, EVGA 8800GS Superclocked, 2x1GB Mushkin DDR2-800 at 4-5-4-11 2T, 2x 7200.11 in RAID 1, Terratec Aureon Space 7.1, Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU in a Lian-Li PC-61USB modified with lots'o'quiet stuff. (Replaced a Northwood 2.6 on an ASUS P4G8X-DX)
Pros: No problems with it! SATA Raid is nice, comfortable overclocking options.
Cons: Perhaps not the best board for Phenom? I wouldn't know. I kind've wish I'd gotten a -D series from Gigabyte, but that's just nitpicking.
Pros: This board is a great investment. Overclocks my 5000+ Black Edition to 3.2GHz with no problems. Handles my 2 Palit 9600gts in SLI perfectly. Look around and you'll see this is a wonderful board for AM2 Dual core gaming.
Cons: The little cover on the heatsinks for the Northbridge must hurt the functionality of the heatsink. Took mine off before I even installed it.
Pros: Been running this board for over a year now and not a single problem with it
Cons: My only complaint is that They didnt include the Sbracket for the Spdif and when I called them about getting one they wanted $50.00 for it for that price I'll just get a good Sound Card with SPDIF
