Boot Loop after 4 hours

Austin, Amazon
  • Summary: Pros: Has wifi and bluetooth on a Mini ITX board Cons: Doesn't work for more than 3 seconds at a time. Initially tested the board with only the cpu/ram/cpu fan and psu and it POST'd fine. Installed the rest of the components and tested it again and it still worked fine. Buttoned up the case, installed windows and it died out of the blue while installing updates. Tried turning it back on and it started the infinite boot loop like others have described.

DOA

Nick, Amazon
  • Summary: My board was DOA. No need to explain all the methods I went through to test this but it was bricked out of the box. 2 stars for packaging and overall setup of the board.

Good product - but MUST update drivers

Pinhas Ringort, Amazon
1 June 2014
  • Summary: I had 'blue screen' crashes I couldn't solve, also the WI-FI couldn't handle streaming 1080p MKV files in full bit-rate. Updating drivers using official Gigabyte tool is not enough! I used DriveMax tool to update drivers. This solved ALL my issues. 4 stars just because I had to deal with this issue for weeks till found the solution.

Good MOBO, love having wifi and bluetooth

Jonathan Ickes, Amazon
23 May 2014
  • Summary: Used in a build to connect to a TV with no wired internet access so wifi was a must. Running with Ubuntu, wifi connected right away and has a good signal. 2 HDMI outputs is awesome! My only wish was that it had support for one more system fan. 1 CPU and 1 System fan is probably enough for my use, but my case included 2 fans and it's a shame to leave one unplugged :( !

Close, but not perfect

Kaizen, Amazon
3 May 2014
  • Summary: bought this ITX case because it was absolutely perfect for what I was looking to do. However, the pc wouldnt boot and after taking everything apart, I found out one of the ram slots wasnt working. When I place a stick of ram into DDR3_1 the pc just goes into an infinite loop and cant even make it to post. Still... I settled for 8gb instead of 16 and kept the motherboard. I do however plan to buy more of these.

Works for Windows, Kernal Panic in Linux

@theDevExpert, Amazon
2 May 2014
  • Summary: This board is loaded with good features and I like it's performance in Windows. The BIO menus are easy to use and configure. Running on Windows 8.1 it works great... but the wireless is a bit wonkey. I sometimes have to click the wireless icon for it to automatically connect to my 5GHz wireless network after a fresh boot (why it doesn't connect right away, I can't say). Using Ubuntu (or variants), I can't get to the install screen due to a kernel panic.

Perfect Mini ITX Motherboard

wstrohm "William C. Strohm", Amazon
13 April 2014
  • Summary: Don't know how this motherboard could be rated less than 5 stars. The function, and fit to a Mini ITX chassis, is exact; as the basis for a "Hackintosh" desktop of small size it is pretty much ideal. I integrated this with an Intel fourth-generation CPU and Noctua CPU cooler, 16 GB Kiingston RAM, 2 Ssmsung EVO 840 250 GB solid-state drives, an EVGA nVidia GeForce GT 610 graphics card, and a Pioneer BDXL (208BDM) Blu-ray/DVD/CD writer.

If there was a cult for believers in the superiority of Gigabyte motherboard design- I would join!

Missylis, Amazon
11 April 2014
  • Summary: A new system build using this motherboard is almost too easy. Gone are the days of useless or non-existent motherboard manuals that are impossible to comprehend and yield no installation help. Gigabyte provides a manual and website links that are relevant and very helpful. Everything about this motherboard design is well thought out and generously documented.

It's solid, though Bluetooth support on WIndows 8.1 is spotty.

Kyle, Amazon
28 March 2014
  • Summary: Everything functions fine, and the wifi/bluetooth that doesn't use up a pcie slot is fantastic. In the last two months I have booted twice to nonexistent bluetooth though, and it's required reinstalling drivers. Why? No clue. Probably Windows, just thought I'd mention it.
