Worked great for me!

Dennis J. McClary, Amazon
6 December 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this for my first computer build. The installation manual was helpful and fairly well written, a more important issue for me than an experienced builder. I would recommend downloading the manual from the Gigabyte website as the diagrams and photos are much clearer than in the printed manual. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit as my operating system without any problems and it is working great.

Decent inexpensive board

Bruce Sobocinski, Amazon
23 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought one of these to build a quick inexpensive i5 PC. I didn't want a board for overclocking or anything crazy because I have another board for that. I am building this PC just for web surfing, bill paying, light gaming, etc. Overall the board is very nice. The memory specifications on it are a little lacking for now, but it is a budget board. The first one I received had bent Pins in the lower right hand corner of the CPU slot.

Great board, worked out of the box, detailed manual

Joseph C Gennaro, Amazon
2 May 2013
  • Summary: I would give 5 starts, however, there were only two sata data cables included. So to install my OS I had to leave one of my hard disks unconnected, and now I have my two hard disks connected but not my optical drive. Minor annoyance. Don't let it stop you from buying (just buy some extra sata cables if you need them).

Good mobo

Archie, Amazon
2 April 2013
  • Summary: Good mobo for a variety of OS's. Working with Commodore OS Vision, NetBSD, and even Darwin. Wouldnt mind Gigabyte supporting Darwin OS. Plus, if they could port the ON/OFF software they have for iPhone to Darwin, I would be overjoyed.

Great Hackintosh Board Rev 1.1

Perry, Amazon
23 March 2013
  • Summary: Bought this to use for my custom Hackintosh build and it does not disappoint. The hardware is excellent quality and overall very good for the money. The best surprise was finding out it has an mSATA connector on board so there is no need for cables running all over the tower. The biggest negative is that the board claims support for the fastest DDR3 RAM but never clocks it fast enough.

Very good card.

MARCOS MOLERO, Amazon
5 March 2013
  • Summary: Very good card. You can customize many options through the BIOS. The only bad thing is that it does not allow OC, but if you will use it (as in my case) with the default values for processor and memory, highly recommend.

Absolutly Wonderfull

New Gigabyte fan!, Amazon
1 March 2013
  • Summary: Have had this board over six month's so far and not even a hiccup! Works Great the bios was i little different than i was used to but you can turn off the 3d bios and it's the same as any other board! I don't overclock so this works a well as any Z77 board at a better price! paired with a SSD Operating drive i get 15 to 28 sec boot times! My first gigabyte product won't be my last!
