Some things to consider...

James Krenzke, Amazon
10 November 2011
  • Summary: A few things to consider before buying this board. First, it does not have a plug for front LED lights. This means when you turn on your PC, there will be no light to tell you it is on. I was little surprised by this as every board I have owned has had this.

Closest yet to perfect HTPC Board

Gabe F., Newegg
11 October 2011
  • Summary: I honestly don't understand the negative/mediocre reviews this board gets. With the NIC issue resolved, I can't imagine buying or recommending a different HTPC mobo--until IB comes out, anyway... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
  • Pros: Dual HDMI, optical AND coax digital audio out, USB 3.0, SATA III, gigE, mini-ITX, even eSATA! This board is just about PERFECT!!! Paired this with a Core i3-2105, 2x2GB Crucial Ballistix, and a 60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD. Rock-solid resumes from S3 (using diNovo Edge BT keyboard) and looks great on T...
  • Cons: Had consistent issues with streaming NetFlix content. Looked at every possible cause, couldn't figure it out. Spent WEEKS on it! Turns out the problem was resolved when GB finally posted some new NIC drivers. Not even a hiccup since, but such a significant hit to the WAF that I had to take away o...

So far OK

Anthony C., Newegg
13 April 2011
  • Summary: I'm currently using this as a Boxee box which replaced a Zotac Atom/Ion system. This MB along with a Sandy Bridge I3 seemed to remedy problems I was having with Boxee coming out of sleep or system standby. I would always lose sound and video resolution would be distorted when awakening from sleep.
  • Pros: Price & availability. Gigabyte quality & Warranty, Seems stable once up & running. This Mobo with a Sandy I3 & 6Gbps Sata is sweet!
  • Cons: I had an issue with terrible latency when streaming video from another PC over my Gig network but Gigabytes updated NIC drivers or Chipset drivers seemed to resolve that. The drivers that come on the install CD seem to be outdated already. I was using Win7 64bit -

Nice little Sandy Bridge

John P., Newegg
3 April 2011
  • Summary: My goal was to build a virtualization host that was as small, quiet, and low-power as possible. Here is the config I built: * Gigabyte H67N-USB3-B3 mobo (mini-ITX) * Intel Core i5-2400S 65w quad-core CPU with VT * Apex MI-008 case * WD 1TB Blue Sata-3 * Mushkin 4G x 2 DDR3 1333 memory (8G total) *...
  • Pros: * One of the very few Sandy Bridge B3-level mini-ITX boards currently available. * Has Sata 3.0 (which I am using) and USB 3.0 (which I have not tried) * Was easy to install and connect to everything. Booted up with no issues on first go. * Included DVD has lots of Gigabyte utilities for monitori...
  • Cons: * After installing OS and then disconnecting kbd, mouse and monitor to run headless, got fatal POST error during first boot-up. Eventually solved by changing BIOS option to ignore all errors (default was to stop on any error). Help text mentioned a 3rd option to stop on any error except kbd error...
