Summary: Does what it should. Decent build quality. Gigabyte software is buggy. Over clocking software causes Win 7 to crash. I'd say pass on this model and go for a board that supports the newer Sandy Bridge processors. Has had a few issues with not posting.
Summary: I purchased this motherboard for use in a Hackintosh project using an Intel i7-870. No complaints...sockets and connectors are easy to get to, and the reference material is clear. I also used a Gigabyte Radeon 5770 GPU for the machine. Note that this is a socket 1156 board, so it will not accommodate the new Sandy Bridge socket 1155 chips.
Summary: I have tried everything but can't get sound to come out of the HDMI.Guess I back to getting a video card with HDMI. Running Windows 7 as a Mediacenter. I have one already and was building another one for my Motorhome. I used the ASUS GeForce GT 240 PCI-E in the other one and it works great. Good Luck if you try to get it to work. If you find a way to get it to work please let me know. I have read all the forums and did everything they have tried with no luck.
