Cons: Motherboard came and would not startup. Sent back to Newegg and was told by them that the cpu pin was bent. This had to come this way. They told me to contact Mfg for RMA. What a joke this was. They want everything but you first sons birth weight. Needed bios info which could not get. I guess I will eat the price of this board. I have used Gigabyte for all my builds and will not use them again. I am disappointed with Newegg also and most likely will buy from a differe...
Summary: I have several dozen more motherboards to buy, they wont be from Gigabyte, that I can assure you.
Pros: So far I have purchased 42 of these motherboards for business use, and in 41 cases my experience has been excellent. Solid, reliable, easy to install and set up.
Cons: However, it is that one case that has caused me to decide to never buy another Gigabyte product again. One failed after about six months use, no big deal, I swapped in different parts till I determined it was the motherboard. These things happen, nothing is perfect, so I boxed it up and returned it to Gigabyte. They returned it to me after 3 weeks claiming nothing was wrong. So I plugged it back in and it still didn't work. So I returned it again. Again 3 weeks later ...
Summary: 2nd Gigabyte board I have had issues with in a row. Never gonna put any more money into their mobo's again. Thought it was my fault for it not working AGAIN. Took it to a friends house had him look at it as well (sometimes a new set of eyes is best) He ran all the same troubleshooting I did and came up with the same conclusion busted board AGAIN.
Summary: I bought this and it came in one day which was great. a week later after buying this I bought a processor and when i took off the protective cover the pins were bent so my processor wouldn't work. i called gigabyte and they said it was not eligible for warranty service because it was purchased outside of the US or Canada.
Summary: I'm on my third board and all is well so far. I've changed peripherals and power supplies on my builds to make sure only the boards are at fault. Monitoring my power supplies showed no voltage spikes, but I changed them anyway.
Pros: Newegg has been great at replacing two defective boards.
Cons: First board had defective sound from the beginning. Second board lost sound after one month, then half of the USB ports one week later.
Summary: I use this computer for my business and I can only hope the sound is the only issue on my immediate horizon.
Pros: Inexpensive, decent slot arrangement.
Cons: I've built at least a couple of dozen computers, this is the first motherboard that was defective from the start. The onboard sound gurgled a couple of times and then quit. The first board was replaced by Newegg and the sound was fine for a few weeks until yesterday when the computer made a loud, distorted sound when I started it and beqan hissing and squealing when it booted into windows. I wouldn't trust the sound on another board, so I'll just disable the onboard s...
Pros: Worked for a few months (bought it last December). Looked good on paper.
Cons: Died after four months of service. I thought it was my video first (as the monitor refused to come out of sleep on boot), but a tech from our town's repair shop tested it and said it's a mobo that's dead
Summary: It looks nice inside of my case. I hope it can be made to work.
Pros: Seems to be well-manufactured physically. No obvious visible defects.
Cons: Upon booting it for the first time, the machine began bootlooping. I fixed this problem by swapping the RAM into another slot. Following that, I got the beeeeeeep beep beep postcode which indicates a VGA problem. I haven't yet fixed the problem. Gigabyte's tech support hasn't yet called me back.
