I wanted to like this board I really did but the minor problems ...

Joshua Thompson, Amazon

  • Summary: Simple mother board but been giving me minor problems. I wanted to like this board I really did but the minor problems pop up constantly. The ethernet port sometimes won't work and I have to restart the computer. Everything has been going extremely slow with the new board but it might be time for a sdd drive.

GA-B75M-D3H

Francis M., Newegg
3 March 2015
  • Summary: I am still trying to find a motherboard brand for customer builds with Intel out of the picture. Did about a dozen ASUS based machines. The last one would not power down fully and issue could not be resolved. Not done with ASUS, but heard Gigabyte was the only other choice in terms of reliability. So far this has been a good board.
  • Pros: Feature set, very quiet.
  • Cons: Price a little high

Ehh, it's still...kind...of...working?!

Travis, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this to replace a higher-end Intel board that got fried by a bad power supply. I needed something quick and cheap and boy did I get it. I must have gotten a bad board because its really limited for me. I have 16gb kit that will only work in certain slots and runs in single channel. I've looked over every document and still no luck with the dual channel. My usb ports, forget about it. I have 1 working usb 3.0 port. All of the others are a no go.

Works as intended with possible extra(s)

William B., Newegg

  • Summary: I also saw the possibility for a second graphics card, but it is only a 4x slot. Now I'm not completely familiar with how the PCIe lanes work but I'm hoping that when I find a nice deal for another R9 270x later on I can do some crossfire and experiment with that technology.
  • Pros: So I bought this mobo in order to accommodate my new core i7-3770 (which I got a nice deal on) so I wanted aq basic motherboard with some RAM expandability (I already have 2x4GB sticks) for later upgrades. This fit the bill and had some decent reviews.
  • Cons: None I can specifically speak of so far (about 4 months into my ownership).

Hoping to do a bit better with this one but

A. Legros, Amazon
16 November 2014
  • Summary: Purchased this as a replacement MOBO for my server. I have no complaints. My first board lasted about 4 years. Hoping to do a bit better with this one but, for the cost, I won't cry if goes out in 3. Nice software package but most of it won't work with my WHS 11 OS. Oh, well. I do have this board set up to go into its lowest power setting 24/7. I have to remind my wife of this every time a movie or recorded TV show does not kick on instantly. Everything is asleep.

  • Pros: Now components can peform their best. Bios upgrade is way simpler than my previous one.
  • Cons: To utilize 1600 memory, I need ivy bridge. My 2500k limits 1600 8g to 1333MHz.

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: Motherboard came and would not startup. Sent back to Newegg and was told by them that the cpu pin was bent. This had to come this way. They told me to contact Mfg for RMA. What a joke this was. They want everything but you first sons birth weight. Needed bios info which could not get. I guess I will eat the price of this board. I have used Gigabyte for all my builds and will not use them again. I am disappointed with Newegg also and most likely will buy from a differe...
