User Review

Robert D., Newegg
4 June 2015
  • Summary: Seems like there were intermittent mb issues from the start that I just dealt with but now it might be dead
  • Pros: Fit my cooler master storm case nicely, lots of scape to upgrade. Ran real fast durning the very first startup and quickly faded away
  • Cons: I randomly received a blinking cursor during startup and have to do a hard shutdown. Now my hard drive is kaput so I bought 2 new drives to setup in RAID but not the system won't recognize any of my boot disks.

Disappointing

Kwun Y., Newegg
10 July 2013
  • Summary: i pick gigabyte over asus couple years back since how good it does in compatibility. very stable, always helping me having a smooth build experience. not this time. build and installation were build. but very unstable after the OS was installed, crashing and restart the system.
  • Pros: blue circuit board, grey heatsink look good. 6 channel audio. usual great installation unlike asus, which is picky
  • Cons: very unstable. seems like compatibility problem.

Work's well sometimes.

Dean B., Newegg
1 July 2013
  • Pros: I had no problem putting in all of my hardware or updating BIOS when needed.
  • Cons: After about a month and a half, whenever I would be playing a game, all output (video and audio) would either freeze or just stop completely. Other times the picture would just go black and then the audio would cut in and out till it suddenly died. I have no idea if this is because of the MOBO or...

Worked for a while...

Mark L., Newegg
3 June 2013
  • Pros: Lots a of features, cheap
  • Cons: Worked fine for a week, then while rebooting, it went idle on "Loading Operating System...". It wouldn't go passed that. I've read that it is usually because of a device in the boot sequence that lags the process. When I first got it, things were fine, then it locked up. All hard drives, memory, ...

dreaded I/O meltdown

HP&E, Newegg
9 December 2012
  • Summary: Got another GB board for my rig, and this one for my wife and son's machine. The one in my machine has been relatively trouble-free thus far, and performs well. Gets worked hard, too. Their machine doesn't get worked very hard and isn't used constantly.
  • Pros: Looked like solid construction Easy hook-up Performed okay - for a little while
  • Cons: After not quite 3 months, started exhibiting the signs of bad I/Os. Thought with it's "mil-spec" construction, it might be something else. Then it wouldn't read the optical drives any more. Then it wouldn't read the card reader through USB, and so forth. Disintegrating before our eyes, so to speak.

Was excited....

Visa, Newegg
1 December 2012
  • Summary: Correct me if I'm wrong but all of these products should be able to run on this MB: Amd A8-3870k Gskill Ripjaws 8gb 4x2 Galaxy Nvidia Geforce Gt640 Western Digital 7,200 rpm 320gb HDD 650w psu
  • Pros: Looks cool. Fit fine with my Case
  • Cons: Pretty sure I got a defective board. I ordered this about 2 month ago for my build. I got all the other parts, and put it together. So fast foward to powering it on, I get an unknown beep error. It is three long beeps and then 1 short beep. I looked in the manual and It had nothing for that type ...

Underwhelmed

Matthew C., Newegg
16 August 2012
  • Summary: I had an ASUS F1A75-M PRO die on me, and by the time I figured out which part was dead (Bought new memory. Still dead. Bought new CPU? Not that.) it was out of the RMA period. So this is what I decided to replace it with. I should have just bought another ASUS.
  • Pros: Headers on motherboard are well labeled. Lots of video ports.
  • Cons: Non-system USB3 controllers (can't use them for boot/BIOS)? Trying to use a USB keyboard for the BIOS is a nightmare. The BIOS is the same old ugly as the last 20 years. Get with the times Gigabyte. Only seems to want to boot CD/DVD's in EFI mode for installation, won't use my USB sticks EFI boot...

GIGABYTE GA-A75-UD4H FM1 AMD A75

Richard R., Newegg
3 October 2011
  • Summary: At one time I considered Gigabyte the place to get for excellent stable motherboards. It is said to see the death of a legend. I have purchased 4 Gigabyte motherboards for my personal builds in the past. Sadly, only one ever worked correctly.
  • Pros: Runs Great... With 3 days work! who knows how long it will last.
  • Cons: Won't accept Raid drivers, No Beep at Post, never! F6 Bios flash installed. Manual is very hard to read, poor picture quality.

When it works it rocks

John P., Newegg
5 September 2011
  • Summary: I am happy with it when it works, but these error messages make me regret the purchase. I've decided to buy a separate video card for it, a purchase I had hoped to avoid, and the reason I chose this platform over Intel.
  • Pros: Really great Bios, wonderful chip layout, fast video and computing performance.
  • Cons: About 10 times so far in my month ownership my computer froze, and I recieved a series of video error messages including the BSOD. I have tried everything to fix and this problem seems quite glitchy and random. I actually had to RMA a previous Gigabyte GA-A75- so from my experience this board nee...

CANNOT install 2+TB RAID1?

Jared F., Newegg
29 August 2011
  • Summary: Does anyone know how to install a 3TB Raid1 on this board? I just want it for storage, not boot at this point.
  • Pros: The board seems to function fine for non-raid use. The "backup" bios feature was nice. It saved me some hassle when the system crashed.
  • Cons: This board CANNOT support >2TB drives as a bootable Raid. Imagine my disappointment when my 2 brand new 3TB Deskstar drives couldn't even be used in my boot volume on this board. I had to buy a 3rd drive just to install Windows.
