Summary: I don't blame Gigabyte for the problems, things break it happens, I'm just disappointed as it was supposed to be a present for my kids.
Pros: Good overall layout Lots of external connections Upgradability
Cons: Won't allow any OS to use the full 8gb installed, crashes constantly during reboots, hangs when trying to get into the BIOS after a crash. It was a promising buy but disappointed me in the end. Will be ordering something else and tossing this in the bin.
Summary: Bought this as part of a bundle as an Xmas gift for my son and it's starting to look like the whole kit is going to have to be shipped back. Bah humbug.
Pros: Was easy to install, good documentation, worked the first time (to boot to bios).
Cons: Can't get multiple versions of linux to see the attached USB mouse and keyboard. Tried many combinations if BIOS settings, mice, keyboard and the OS doesn't see the USB keyboard or mouse after boot is complete. Only one version of linux (Elemental) was able to see them.
Summary: Build it for a Friend that just needed a basic PC and he did not tell me about the problem until now. Just great. I always had good results with Gigabyte, using H67A-UD3H-B3 and Z68M-D2H without issues. This board must be a dud.
Cons: Produces blue screens with an unbelievable consistency or it just reboots, other times it produces artifacts on the screen and freezes. Dump files do not help since it shows a different cause for each crash.(viaduaa.sys, ntosknl.exe, ati2dvag.dll, hal.dll). Are the XP drivers beeing neglected?
