Summary: I think Amazon just lists the information Gigabyte gave them for this product; I really hope that's the case. First, even under a 64-bit OS --I tested Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD-- It doesn't support the full 32GB of RAM I put in. Other motherboards did recognize the full amount of the same modules. Much more-so, this motherboard only worked properly for 2 days, and then crapped out. I didn't change any of the default settings, so an OOTB board, just failed.
Summary: Ordered this motherboard to replace my Asus Sabertooth 990FX rev 1.01 because all of its fan ports had died. Pros: Looks good in the color scheme I'm utilizing. Cons: Everything else. I received no easy access dock for front panel connections, and Gigabyte's is different from Asus's, which is ridiculous. It should be an industry standard. This mother board DOES NOT overclock. I have an FX8150 unlocked black edition processor.
Summary: I ordered this motherboard with a AMD-FX 8530 CPU and a kit of 1866MHz ram and this motherboard can't run all 4 sticks of ram at 1866MHz really thinking about returning it for a refund and getting a ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z that I know will run the ram at the correct Mhz. I have contacted Gigabyte about this problem and have done all the tests that they wanted me to do and my ram passed all the test and they insist that I have bad ram I have talked with Kingston about...
Summary: I ordered this product because of the great reviews I read about it. I assembled everything correctly when I received the first one and turned the power supply on...... nothing happened. I then tried multiple times to make it work or at least find out what was wrong with it with no luck. I brought the board to a computer technician for testing. It was determined to be a defective board.
Summary: Wanted this board because the slots seemed the best for what I needed. The first one ordered was not delivered when it was due. Calling Amazon they said that they did not know when there was a time that they would have it back in stock. Then I was told that they had one in their "Warehouse" deals and was told that it was just returned because the person that got it originally did not what it.
Summary: Purchased back in February to go in new build. For 5 months it worked, and I was content with the price versus performance. Then I got the dreaded ''bootloop''. I found out how poorly this motherboard is designed and how non-existent is thier customer service. I feel very let down and will probably end up getting a new MB.
Summary: Initially I was very excited about this board, but after trying to install this and everything, I grew more and more irritated. First the 2 PCI-E 16X are too close together for easy SLI/Crossfire install especially if they have decent coolers on there or liquid cooled system like mine.
Summary: I have officially converted to Asus! I am sick and tired of gigabyte motherboards. I have had four gigabyte motherboards over the last four years and problems I thought were with windows based platforms were actually specific to gigabyte motherboards. I have never been able to stabilly overclock my system with a gigabyte motherboard and the sleep function despite hours of online trouble shooting has never worked until I switched to Asus.
