Pros: Got it at a pretty good price and it has a lot of connections and options. I also really like the bios GUI.
Cons: Serious stability issues. Overclocking the CPU just a bit will cause my computer to randomly restart. It will benchmark fine at much higher overclocks and it's not a heat issue, just stability. Anything CPU intensive that takes over an hour will make it restart. Also when I turn the computer on, ...

Pros: This board was an easy install with an AMD FX-9590. Love the look of the board.
Cons: Crashes at least once per day. Spent too much time chasing other possible causes, no longer able to return. Gigabyte Tech support has told me 3 times on 3 different occasions that the issue is a temp issue, however both Bios AND Corsair link both confirm that temps are staying well within accepta...
Pros: Didn't set fire to the local village. Functions once you get it to boot.
Cons: After installing the mobo drivers boot time takes 5 minutes on SSD. Tried 3 fresh installs, made sure processor and RAM were supported. "oh well maybe your configuration..." I have built well over 100 pc's with countless different parts and have never had this issue before. I'm sure there's some ...
Summary: Using with AMD R9 270 GPU + 8GB DDr3.+AMD FX 8320 Board is revision 4.0 will update w/any further thoughts if warranted. or if I remember any other problems.
Pros: price (for features relative to the competition) physical appearance/colors
Cons: my experience so far is not windows related, I have yet to install windows as i mainly use & tinker w/linux.. i have had a very bad experience w/this board since purchasing a few months ago. linux mint 17.1 + ubuntu 14.04 installed on 3.5" & also tested using 2.5" drives via sata & with USB adapt...
Sent back before opening - Too many terrible reviews
7 July 2015
Pros: Price, features
Cons: Just get the ASUS M5A99FX - I ordered one of these Gigabytes and got very cold feet after the plethora of terrible reviews (even including the rev 4's) with NB heat, USB issues, etc... The M5A99FX is absolutely fantastic, it really really is. Been cranking an AMD 8320 in it past 4.5ghz absolutely...
Summary: I think the chipset has issues, could just be this board, and I've tried changing/replacing nearly everything else. Currently have a repair order in to Gigabyte whom I've always had great success with thier boards in the past. I'll see how thier Support does.
Pros: Supports Xfire and FX processors.
Cons: Extremely slow to boot, drops all USB ports when it goes to sleep mode, cannot return from sleep without reboot. Formatted drive as UEFI drive (SSD) thinking it should be fastest/newest type format. Bad idea. VERY bad idea. Reloaded windows as Legacy drive. Somewhat faster, but no much.
Summary: Board isn't bad, but with the level of support, it's a gamble. Saved by Newegg's support and return policy.
Pros: Board features are nice. UEFI.
Cons: Gigabyte doesn't seem very serious about support with this product. The drivers were out of date and the BIOS was several versions behind. On boot my board displayed a message that the BIOS was corrupted. I tried using the "easy" BIOS flashing utility in the UEFI, but the files hosted on Gigabyte...
Summary: I've had this board since January '15. It was running stable for four months and then things wend down hill. I decided to run SLI GPUs and needed to upgrade the PSU. I picked up a new one, swapped it in to the system (not removing or changing any other compnents) and got nothing.
Pros: Good looking design, Dual BIOS, robust connectivity, ran fine until it didn't...
Summary: I have sent in a support request and will update this review once I receive a working product.
Pros: the board has plenty of features and is able to do what I need it to do.. when it works.
Cons: board failed. extensive testing of cpu, power supply, memory, and drives show all components are healthy. The board appears to be fluctuating as the fans noticeably speed up and slow down. The board gives no beep codes even when the memory and cpu are removed.
