Not really Ultra Durable...

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: Since Gigabyte is having such a poor support to customers (Slow RMA + Refurbished exchanges)... I will now be putting Gigabyte on the side for next purchases and will be looking for ASUS, EVGA and MSI products...
  • Pros: Board can handle 8 hard disks
  • Cons: Board started to malfunction after a year, not booting up in morning when temperature was below 18 degrees... It was still working good once booted and warmed up with a heater... and freezing if opened during the next night... - Took Gigabyte at least 1 month to send the RMA, and I was lucky I ha...

Reason why I wait

John S., Newegg
  • Summary: Not recommending Gigabyte anything to anyone at this point. Why should I? If they don't care about their product, why should we?
  • Pros: Powerful motherboard, easy to use and configure.
  • Cons: The tech support has had a ticket from me for 4 days and has not responded. I have called twice and left messages on their voicemail. My motherboard after a year has developed a issue with the on board thermostats. It reads three when I power from a cold boot, but reads two with waking from sleep...

BUYER BEWARE

Osujin, Amazon
  • Summary: First off, a warning to those looking to take advantage of the REBATE. Gigabyte will do anything and everything to delay the process, request additional documentation, and ultimately try to get out of honoring any rebates available.

Ethernet Port Died Fast

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 February 2016
  • Summary: Worked for about 2 months before the NIC/ethernet port died. I tested it with Windows 10, Mint Linux, and with an ethernet cord and ethernet-to-USB 3.0 dongle and nothing worked. Wifi via USB worked with Mint only, but the NIC port is totally dead as far as I can tell.

Budget Board

Bryan F., Newegg
25 December 2015
  • Summary: I have been working on computers for 18+ years and never came across this before
  • Pros: - Looks good - Easy setup
  • Cons: I noticed that it was taking along time to transfer stuff to my thumb drives but I figured it was my drives causing that issue untill I bought a new printer. I plugged it into the usb port on the back and it sparked and smoked my board.

Slowly Dying

Shelby T., Newegg
15 November 2015
  • Pros: Nice specs
  • Cons: Has been slowly dying. First the Ethernet port died so I had to buy an external card. Now the computer turns back on instantly after shutdown (I've replaced the PSU so that's not the issue). Now I need to find a replacement board. :(

Failed in 7 months

Garrett L., Newegg
26 October 2015
  • Pros: When it works, it does the job.
  • Cons: When it fails, it fails spectacularly. I had mine for 7 months, and it ran without a hitch... until I tried to upgrade my GPU. When I put my new EVGA GTX 960 in, the motherboard kept the system from booting. I sent the board off to Gigabyte for repair, and they sent it back saying that nothing wa...

User Review

KYLE M., Newegg
24 October 2015
  • Pros: Was pretty solid for a couple years.
  • Cons: Like others have said, this eventually started causing random shutdowns with kernel-power failure errors: Event ID 41, Task Category 63, bugcheckcode 0. I originally blamed this on the PSU as back in July, this started causing constant shutdowns within extremely short periods of time with the sam...
