Summary: This motherboard woks well but it has one MAJOR design flaw and this is why I gave it 3-stars. The "CPU UNLOCK" function is NOT compatible with FX design CPUs. My Windows 10 64-bit on FX-8350 CPU would constantly freeze, causing cold-reboot every 30-60 minutes.
Summary: spends an extra 20 dollars or so on a nicer mother board, it is worth it.
Pros: -nice IO panel -bios works well -looks nice
Cons: -not enough fan plugs -broke after a week (thank goodness for returns) -you can not use all ram modules if you using an aftermarket cooler like the cosair hyper 212 evo -not enough fan plugs (only four) -"ultra durable"
Worked good for a month, then freezing and black screens

Summary: I've been buying computer parts from NewEgg for probably a decade. Besides a damaged refurb video card, this is my first bad NEW part :)
Pros: Layout worked well for me. Quality look to the board. Wide upgrade path w/1866 mem. compatibility Has all the bells and whistles needed for a "internet cruiser" Good price.
Cons: Worked for about a month then random freezes and black screens, making it necessary to reboot. Changed video drivers (on ATI HD3450)...no help. Changed card to a Geforce but it just progressively got worse. All the other suspects checked out: Voltages, memory, temperatures, etc. Which brought me ...
Pros: A ton of USB ports, a ton of SATA connectors, connectors for sound and USB on the front of the case, good performance, overall good stuff.
Cons: I kinda expected to be able to plug and play this with Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) and found that I was quite mistaken. Fortunately, enabling IOMMU and passing in amd_iommu=on and iommu=soft kernel parameters at boot seems to have fixed things but I still ran into another weird issue yesterday. Just be ...
Summary: My son and i like this board it was his first build so im not too upset I also like Gigabyte products too, but If you can put up with the spotty shut downs and restarts it will work but dont be too surprised if in the middle of a game or work that if you didnt save your file you may have just lost...
Pros: This mother board is as it states it is fast and at a good price and bios are very good at reconizing plug and play, also when installing windows from a USB drive I didnt have to go back in and change the loadup settings from HDD to SSD to USB even with them pluged up ..wow.
Cons: Well this is the issue, the board doesn't run hot. Did a bench test with AMD FX-8320 and it intermittenly shut down. I removed MSI 750 card, ran for 1hour then shut down. I removed SSD etc.etc etc.. and every time it would shut down. the next day my son used the computer for 3 hours stright and it...
Summary: This little set back cost me an extra $300 which i didnt want to spend just because them memery that came with the mobo in a package wasnt compatible to begin with. Be careful when purchasing components as some may not be compatible with this mobo.
Pros: When it finally worked it did its job and gave me no problems. It was easy to install and connect everything up to it. it also has a nice sleek design. It has plenty of i/o connections for all your needs.
Cons: I ordered this when it came with 1 free stick of hyperx 8gb ddr3 memory(which I then ordered a second), however after several hours of work and several trips to a tech shop for diagnostic, it seemed there was some kind of compatibility issue not allowing my system to boot properly. Which I though...
Summary: This is the Rev. 1 board and now i see why there is a Rev 2. will be starting the RMA process soon. Should have went with an ASUS board... AMD 6300 16GB Gskill ram XFX R9 270x DD EVGA 750w
Pros: Love the looks and the layout. Overclocks nicely and easily. Ran my AMD 6300 at 4.2GHz stable on just air. Good board for just normal computing but not so much for gaming (see cons)
Cons: Every game freezes and crashes. Swapped ram out, ran memtest with both sets of Gskill RAM, swapped video card, swapped power supplies (EVGA 750w first then Thermaltake 850w) but no change. This was all before i even tried to overclock anything. Built this rig for gaming and thats the only thing i...
Summary: I had constant unexpected shutdown and could not start the computer again by pushing the power button unless shutoff the power from the back for some seconds. Since the cons mentioned above, I like to relate the shutdown to this MB.
Pros: installation is easy. it worked right away.
Cons: The board layout is different from the user manual. No sys_fan_1 exists. The intended place is occupied by a USB header. But I did see sys_fan_2 pin head. Also I don't favor the layout of the sata heads. 4 and 5 sata head are different from 1,2,3 in terms their setting in the Bios.
Summary: Don't buy Revision 1.0 for gaming..poor audio drivers.
Pros: The board itself is solid, easy to install..does what it is supposed to do and supports the FX-8350.
Cons: The Revision 1.0 (the one I own) uses VIA Audio. The drivers for this are terrible and have conflicts in multiple games including thus far Diablo 3 and Plague INC. It is painfully obvious since the Rev 2.0 of this board uses REALTEK that Gigabyte clearly realizes that VIA was a poor choice for on...
