Frustrating...

Adam, Amazon
16 April 2012
  • Summary: I ran into so many issues within just 1day of using it. I loved the way it was built, looked, and just overall everything. Installing the raid drivers was a pain in the you know what. Their update-bios utility didn't detect a new bios update, yet there was one on the Gigabyte website for this board. For some reason it wouldn't take the bios update and that frustrated me. I dealt with the issue of thinking my corsair vengeance 2x4gb memory was bad, but it actually wasn't.

Good potential, bad reliability.

Oscar Cardoso, Amazon
18 February 2012
  • Summary: Had this motherboard for a couple of weeks, after that random shutdowns started to happen. Sometimes it would boot, sometimes not. I had to clear the CMOS once to make it work. After another shutdown (with no BSOD), the PC would not POST. Seems like there's been a problem with all the boards designed like this (from 970, 990X and 990FX series) in the CPU power board. I won't buy another one of these. PROs: - Good price - No IDE Interface if you won't need one.

Ridiculously unstable with high end components

Amazon Customer, Amazon
18 February 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this mobo based on the multiple positive reviews it received. Unfortunately, I didn't pay enough attention while reading those reviews to realize that most of the reviewers were using middle of the line processors and less than maximum RAM. When paired with an AMD FX-6100, an Nvidia GTX560 (overclocked), and 16gig Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz RAM, this mobo failed to live up to expectations.

USB-Boot problematisch

Martin Kossick, Amazon
11 August 2012
