Gigabyte has done an outstanding job of delivering an extremely fast, inexpensive motherboard for the enthusiast. For $150, you can have a board that will overclock your computer to its fullest potential. The motherboard is not perfect. It has some known RAM compatibility issues and that is what is keeping the rating from a perfect 10. I feel confident that Gigabyte is doing everything they can to fix these issues with BIOS updates. The GIGABYTE GA-965-DS3 is a fine choice for enthusiast looking for a fast motherboard capable of running new Intel Core 2 Duo processors. While the DS3 came in behind the ASUS P5 W DH in most test, the difference was minimal. In fact the DS3 outpaced the more expensive ASUS P5 W DH in overclocking by a healthy margin. Capable of reaching 450MHz FSB, any enthusiast or overclocker should consider the DS3. All in all the DS3 is very fast and for the price cannot... Read more

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 is a good choice for the mainstream user building a Core 2 Duo-based system willing to achieve the best performance at the lowest price point possible. This motherboard is faster than boards based on Intel 975X chipset, which is great. It also supports DDR2-1066/PC2-8500 memories and has a good... Read more

It is easy to navigate, easy to update, has plenty of options available for tweaking and overclocking, and also has only one minor annoyance of having to use Ctrl-F1 to gain access to the advanced memory timings. The bundle is a little weak, but is understandable as this board... Read more
