Summary: My Home theater at my living room is my PC, using this board. I am very pleased with its performance, running Win7 x64, Windows Media Center and some other softwares, I am using an AMD Phenom II X4 945 and it works like a charm, to play music, photo presentations and, specially, watching TV, playing video files, DVD and Blu-ray discs. Nice performance on USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0! For common video, the embedded GPU is just perfect, with hardware decoding, Dolby Digital, etc.
Nice board., but sata ports to close to hard drives

Summary: I have rev. 2.1 of this board. It is very solid. Stock Heat sinks on the board work very well. They are real hot, but only at the top and some in the middle. The bottom of the heat sinks are not hot at all. That's a clear indication the heat sinks are dissipating the heat well. Graphics are pretty good quality for on board graphics; however, do not expect a lot of performance out of the on board gpu. I only get 4s in the windows 7 performance tests.
Summary: Works great after two weeks in a HAF 932 full size with phenom x2 six core black edition. Only gripe is that with the cpu cooler hyper 212, there is only room to put ram in slots 2,3,4. I guess this is my goof, but i wish the mobo makers and the cpu cooler makers would communicate more so stuff like this does not happen. Other then this MINOR gripe, I love this mobo. Windows live score of 7.2.
revision 1.0? Forget it... Then Reset it... Then, well, OK...

Summary: So, I built my computer almost a year ago, when this board was brand spanking new. I mounted up the 65 watt AMD Phenom II 910e, and 8 GB of RAM. My usage cases mostly involved the processor and the amount of RAM, which have performed more than adequately. I use Windows 7, and virtualize a throw-away, locked down copy of Ubuntu Linux 10.10 on Oracle VirtualBox for all day-to-day internet traffic.
Solid board with nice feature let down by epic RAID fail
30 December 2010
Summary: all the boards awesome features, sata 3, usb 3 and x6 support are all let down by the fact that gigabytes windows drivers only support TWO drives in raid 0. i bought 4 sata 3 1 tb drives to have a super fast array but was epically let down when i had to email gigabyte customer support and they told me. if raid is not a factor in your build i would highly reccomend this build. Also, on/off charge has no function, doesnt work.
