Great except for RAID recovery

George K., Newegg
24 June 2013
  • Pros: Easy to set up. Works with MD 1090T. Good feature set and price. Hardware RAID.
  • Cons: All was peachy until the machine couldn't boot up. Ran down the problem and it's the RAID-1 set. One of the drives is either defective or out of sync. Either way, I cannot find instruction anywhere on how to reliably add a new drive (to rebuilt the RAID-1) or re-sync everything (if the other driv...

Very nice motherboard

James M., Newegg
28 December 2012
  • Summary: No SLI/Crossfire supports, so if you are looking to do that, do not buy this board. All-in-all, it's a decent AM3 motherboard.
  • Pros: Has awesome features, such as SATA-3, USB 3.0, 8 SATA ports, integrated video...
  • Cons: SATA ports all point towards front of case, make sure you get SATA cables with the 90-degree ends or it will be a pain. It is a HUGE hassle to install new hard drives inside my LEXA S Crafted case. Also, don't buy this if you want to use USB 3.0 ports on your case. It does not have any USB 3 head...

Good Bang for the Buck -- But ensure all components are compatible

David B., Newegg
6 February 2012
  • Summary: System built June 2010; paired with an Phenom II X2-555 and G.SKILL Ripjaws series 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3; two Radeon HD 6870 in Crossfire; Windows 7 Home Premium. Main apps used is Steam, RAGE, Fallout 3, L4D, Borderlands, other games; Chrome Browser.
  • Pros: Motherboard and all components installed fine with no compatibility issues. As has been stated by others, BIOS tweaking options are good and plentiful. Excellent hard drive speed performance using striping (RAID0).
  • Cons: After a year and a half the RAID0 failed: was using two Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb Internal Hard Drive. In RAID settings menu, the RAID configuration simply read “FAILED.” Both WD HDDS are still functional so now running RAID1 for fault tolerance with no issue...

  • Cons: Only problem is my girlfriend had it for 10 months, it started giving error issues and blue screen of death. Replaced Rams, trouble shoot video card, hdd issue, and software installation issue like Realtek sound software. I am quite disappointed from after that since I installed myself for my gir...
