Summary: This is a solid MB which is very stable and a snap to set up. This product has great documentation and instruction so that even someone new to computer building will not be mystified bu the process. A solid MB at a reasonable price!
Summary: this a good motherboard, the SIS chipset is great, I using Geil Dragon memory and is running 400 bus speed, rock solid with a lot of games. Fast, fast, fast there is a few Bios setting for overcloking the board, the only thing is the chipset gets really hot..
Summary: Good all around board. I chose the Gigabyte over Asrock and PCChips simply because of the brand name. The SiS748 is a great chipset for the budget-minded and gives performance somewhere between a VIA KT-400 and KT-600, I'd say.
Summary: Pretty good deal for the price. Not a real speedster but pretty flexible. Easy to work with. The LAN is nice if you have DSL. One thing: When using MotherBoard Monitor 5, it produced very low +5v and low +3.3v readings that are INCORRECT.
Summary: Got this board two months ago with a 2500 Barton and 768 ddr and it has ran great. I forgot the switch on the board and was infuriated that it didn't recognize my cpu and moved so slowly for about two minutes before smacking myself on the forehead. Runs great now. Easy setup with good manual.
Summary: So far I've had this board for a week and had no problems whatsoever. I didn't even have trouble putting the heatsink/fan assembly on as some others have mentioned. The onboard sound isn't up to par for me, but I never use onboard sound anyway.
Summary: Saw this board at Newegg for $53 and thought I would give it a try. Very happy with choice! Been building custom systems for a couple of years now and have been very happy with Gigabyte boards. I've never had a bad Gigabyte board, can't say the same for FIC, PC-Chips, and ABIT.
