Summary: Support is critical for me in making future purchase decisions. Not that I am going to make or break a company...but I can report what I find which I am doing. I will see how it goes. Board should not have failed. OH Well.
Pros: Good Price Nice looking Trusted Name Worked well 3 year Warranty Gigabyte website made it easy to locate serial number on the board and filling out return form was EZ
Cons: Failed after 14 months of secondary use. It was my backup computer to run XP and test Win 8. Maybe on for 2 hours per week. Gigabyte support hasn't failed me but when I called I was put on hold for so long I hung up. Called again and a recorded message asked for my phone and they would call me......
Summary: I did not expect a lot from a MB in this price range, but the on board NIC should not have failed after just 5 months. When you consider the cost $$ of RMA-ing it to New Egg...plus I live in the eastern US so with a down time of... I am guessing, at least a week (maybe more) and...
Pros: It was cheap for a low end build.
Cons: On board NIC died after 5 months. Had to use a Realtek NIC in the PCI slot.
Summary: There are better AM3+ boards for the same price. If your build is a HTPC avoid Gigabyte (this isn't the only Gigabyte board with USB power on issues).
Pros: It is working and seems pretty stable. On-board DVI out supports Audio via a DVI to HDMI cable. Six SATA connectors. Okay for a simple Desktop build.
Cons: Used one of these for my HTPC, not a good idea. - It does not support USB power on so I cannot turn it on via my wireless USB keyboard (PS/2 Power on works but there are very few HTPC wireless PS/2 keyboards). - On board video is no longer supported by AMD keep that in mind when buying. This make...
Summary: this board is pleasing as far as the box. any further and you shall see that this board is poorly manufactured. I am on my third with amazon because I am testing a theory, to see if three times a charm.
Summary: The hybird UEFI implentation sucks. If you put in anything but blanks drives it freezes on boot while looking for the EFI partition. I don't use EFI at all, just standard MBR, and once I re-partioned the drives it was fine.
Summary: I think i got a lemon. I bought a better board of the same brand and if this one fails I will never buy a board from this brand again. I have boards that are over 10 years old and still run perfect and this board barely made it over a year. Good board but cheap and you get what you pay for.
Cons: Several things started going wrong with it shortly after a year. Would not sleep, turned itself on and off, flickered the screen, audio completely quit working. Tried everything and decided it was the board and got a new one and everything works great again! (different model of course)
Cons: When browsing the official site, it was supposed to support my CPU. But I got caught with the removed support for 125W CPU on the rev. 4 and 5. Did not know that they could do such thing, removing features on a next rev. Going to cost me more than half the MB price just by returning back so I wil...
