Summary: I have gone to gigabyte website and troubleshooting with no succsess. please help me to RMA this board and get a different modle. from the reviews here it is obvious this modle is just a bust. Long time diehard Gigabyte customer. help me to stay one please.
Pros: great specs with all the bells and whistles i was looking for.
Cons: unable to even use this motherboard. so disapointed. Tried everything from fresh installs to removing and updating drivers and swapping video card, hard drive and ram. this board is a failure.
Summary: Got this board as part of a custom built computer (bought the computer from a friend not working) First thing that I found out was that the bios was not updated to support a 6 core CPU. Luckially i had a compatible quad core sitting around to use to flash the bios so it would support the 6 core.
Summary: Should have been an awesome board. Instead it was the most unstable and buggy thing I may have ever used. I couldn't even get through an installation of an application without it crashing, and if it did it would BSOD after that. RMA'd it, not looking back.
Pros: The features you get for the price are great, Gigabyte's name is respectable and I've not had any issues with them... before now.
Cons: One deadly issue after another. Instability is the biggest problem. Paired with a 1090T, should have been fine but it was crashing, freezing, BSODing constantly. Anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes it would just crash, either a game or Windows 7 Ult x64. Also had issues with CPU voltage and RAM setting...
Summary: I hope I can RMA this through newegg this week and swap to the ASUS board with similar features. I should've listened to the bad reviews on the many problems with this board....
Pros: The setup of the board is nicely spaced and has lots of 3-pins to add additional cooling to your system. The features are pretty cool and the board looks great.
Cons: I had it up and running for about 3 days after putting it all together (running with a 3.1ghz Athlon II triple-core and EVGA GTS 450) It was running fine until I got my BSOD. After that the BSODs wouldn't stop, and to make matters worse it gave me a different error code each time.
Summary: It looks like I'm not alone w/ these issues.
Pros: Bought similar model a year ago. Encouraged, I bought two more.
Cons: One of the new units I bought gave me BSOD during my first install. This happened again during second install, but completed installation; however OS froze frequently. Third installation was smooth, but again OS froze frequently. Because this computer was for a relative living 50 miles away, I wa...
