Summary: For what it is it is a good board. It works (most of the time). I am running a 4770k 16Gb of 2400 ram and a geforce 770 in it. I have 2 starred it because Gigabyte has time and time again known to have boards that go bad quickly. i have had this board all of 6 months and it has already started black screening. If you are simple building then go for it but if you plan to USE your board... dont buy this.
Summary: Only 3 stars on this because there are is one VERY important feature lacking on this board that I wish I would have known before I pulled the trigger. I sourced this, like a lot of others, because I needed a green and black board to match my build. The Bad: This board will NOT support 5.1 surround over SPIDF. The on-board Creative Audio does not support Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect.
Summary: Not only is this a fantastic motherboard but buying this through Amazon made it a great experience. The original order arrived within seven days with free shipping. When we attempted to power up the computer build for the first time, it was apparent that a component was bad. The computer never attempted to boot. Upon troubleshooting the components we noticed an anomaly in the pins of the CPU socket.
Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 Motherboard: Jury still out!
13 July 2014
Summary: The motherboard was a breeze to setup. Very nice layout and it boots fast with the Intel I5 chip I purchased. I am having difficulty with a blue screen error message that is consistently showing up at boot-up--related to hardware. I'm not sure if it is the motherboard or the memory. I will update my post later.

Summary: The audio chipset is amazing. I did not know that my crappy headset could play sounds so sharp and clean. The bios app is easy to use and has alot of features. Makes a great overclock for my i7-4770k.
Summary: Has some cool features for sound quality, i dont really use them as i run optical out, but its nice to know they will drive big headphones well. Plenty of ports and room for expansion. BIOS is great and provides a ton of information. My only gripe is the Killer e2200 NIC caused my system to BSOD with the drivers included with the cd.
