their support kinda sucked butt.

Shelby Leffler, Amazon
19 June 2015
  • Summary: Board arrived DOA. Took a few hours to finally determine. Was stuck between CPU (Which is brand new) or Mobo (also new). Upgraded from a z97-d3h that was not SLI compatible (whole reason i decided to upgrade)... or so I thought.

Good Board, but misleading dual GPU

William C., Newegg
7 June 2015
  • Pros: The color palette is excellent, and the board is built very solid. There is a learning curve to the many different bios' this board contains, but all in all it's a great buy. The motherboard supports dual gpu's which is great, but see the cons below as to why I feel it's a bit misleading..
  • Cons: the x8 PCIe slots are the top and the bottom slots. It makes sense for users putting this into a mid tower case with 6 slots in the back, but put it in a mini tower with only four and you can't benefit from a feature I have used since the 8800 series. Most micro atx boards have the slots side by ...

I want to like it, but I can't because it doesn't do what I want it to very well

Daniel D., Newegg
5 June 2015
  • Summary: fine motherboard except for some strange RAID problems
  • Pros: It support 6 hdds RAID 0/10/5 well built/sturdy cool idea on swapping sound blaster chips
  • Cons: RAID 5 throughput, This was supposed to replace the family file server. I used the same 4 hdds in raid 5, in my previous system they could handle torrents fine. But this RAID controller has serious problem with multiple files being uploaded and downloaded. So my torrent client freezes and the I/O...

Good board ... until..

taylor w., Newegg
31 May 2015
  • Pros: Full size PCIe slots, but with reduced pins. Good power design per Sin's VRM power list. Good mix of DVI, HDMI, and DP display ports.
  • Cons: I've heard and seen that the Creative audio goes out, well I'm fairly certain mine just did. And on a Sunday it seems hard to just give Gigabyte a call and figure out what is wrong and how to fix. Once I figure the issue or get it resolved I will go to a 4 egg

Love it!

Mauricio, Amazon
13 December 2014
  • Summary: After much searching to get a motherboard good quality and durability, I found this as well as the processor I bought, was a great happiness that I had to use! The 3D BIOS interface is also very easy to handle and without many risks.

Their idea of service is laughable.

  • Summary: Gigabyte is going straight down hill with their product quality. They used to make a solid, reliable product and not 50+% of their MBs and components my computer mnaufacturing company purchases do no pass our initial testing with a good handful dieing months out.

little board, big features

Carl C., Newegg
16 September 2014
  • Summary: Should have gone with a i7-4770K and be done with it. I'd have to say this board is strictly for 4th Gen. I found an incompatibility with Netgear's Genie and Killer LAN. It kills the LAN to LAN transfer speed (80Kb/s!).
  • Pros: I bought this board last year because I wanted to build a little mATX and something that had the fastest SLI and saw this supports x16/x8 for the slim 7750s I was going to use. Build changed, and I went to a full case and a 770. Lots of nice features, Creative Labs Sound, changeable Amp chip, and...
  • Cons: I upgraded from an i5-4670K to a i7-4790K. Even at the latest BIOS of this writing, F10, it doesn't correctly detect the chip parameters. It will stay stuck at the 4.4Ghz speed even with no load. I've decided to move on to a Z97 board, since I no longer have the 4670K. I don't think I can wait fo...
