Summary: Currently in the process of building a new rig and decided to go with Gigabyte's G1.Sniper 5. Im still ordering components for the build but I did receive the motherboard in a rather quick time frame. The packaging seemed well done and the box itself appears to be intact and in good condition. I will update with a performance review when I start the build!
Summary: Gigabyte software utility suite is terrible, Slow, buggy, and bloated. At one point my audio completely stopped working. I had to turn off my power supply in order for it to work again. The I/O shield makes install unnecessarily difficult. I don't know if it's this mobo or my video card but my system has crashed several times while mining, and nothing is overclocked. All my hardware is in spec, runs super cold, and I run a top of the line PSU.
Summary: Overall a great buy, the quality of this product is amazing. Hopefully the Bigfoot killer network driver gets ironed out. to be more stable. Also the UEFI BIOS issue is more of a nitpick because it is still fully functional. 4/5 Eggs until I can use that network port again.
Pros: Its refreshing to see a motherboard with so many features that this one has. Lots of room for expansion with the 4 pci e slots. The audio is amazing for an on-board audio, saves me having to buy a dedicated sound card.
Cons: Bigfoot killer network driver causes windows to blue screen occasionally so using the Intel network port now. Also the UEFI BIOS can be a little laggy in regards to its FPS at times
Summary: I bought the board for the onboard sound which may have cost a bit more, but if I have have the same quality sound onboard that I would have bought on a card that would mess up my airflow otherwise, then it's worth it. I'm running SLI with no issues from the board. Great product out of the box, running strong for almost a month.
