Lots Of Potential

  • Summary: Overall, my board is stable on F7 BIOS. Initially on the F5 and occasionally on the F7 BIOS, the boot time for Windows 7 on a high speed SSD drive would intermittently go from 20 seconds to two minutes indicating Windows could not find some component. This never happened with the same components on the G1.Sniper 3 board.
  • Pros: Lot's of high end components like Sound Blaster sound, Killer LAN, 10 SATA III ports, LED lighting, add-on WIFI and Bluetooth, quality heatsinks and Gigabyte quality construction. Comes with an external USB 3.0 adapter for older cases.
  • Cons: BIOS issues finding components, Marvell 88SE9230 integration, benchmarks slower than other boards, high end price.
