Audio Issues and maybe buggy Drivers?

Hunter, Amazon
5 July 2014
  • Summary: I really love the motherboard. It was all i wanted and more. The only BIG issue i had with it was the Audio. I don't know if it is a buggy driver or the motherboard, but ever so often my entire Audio has the Robot/Static sound. Everything changes to a very static/Robot like sound and it takes a reboot to get the Audio back to normal other than that, this is a very good Motherboard. I will be returning it to get a replacement soon.

NOT FOR WATER COOLING and NOT for enthusiasts who want good fan control and Gigabyte software doesn't work

William D. Mruphy "simrace", Amazon
28 December 2013
  • Summary: The entire line-up of Gigabyte Boards are NOT for enthusiasts who want good fan control and Gigabyte software doesn't work with windows 8 or 8.1 ONLY the 1 white fan header supports PWM which is not the industry standard. Even older motherboards usually have 2-3 PWM channels. WATER COOLING ENTHUSIASTS!!! STAY AWAY: At $400 this board should have multiple PWM headers AND it should have temperature probe inputs.

On board sound issues

Neeko, Amazon
5 November 2014
  • Summary: Everything is fine apart from major sound issues. It started out where the sound would become hugely distorted when more than one thing was happening ie in game/ventrilo/youtube video. The only way to fix would be a restart. I continued to use and contacted support who told me to disable all other devices (which i had already done) and to reinstall windows, which i tried to no avail.

A few issues with this motherboard.

Greg, Amazon
8 February 2014
  • Summary: I personally have a few issues with this motherboard, but not enough so that I'm willing to dismantle my PC to send it back (meaning I'd be without a PC, as well as the hassle). For a start, this isn't an XL-ATX motherboard despite the name of the product on Amazon and the instruction manual that it came with both stating that it is. Nor is it E-ATX, as the official Gigabyte website claims. It's just an ATX sized motherboard and looks rather lost in my HAF X case.
