DOA

hunter p., Newegg
1 August 2015
  • Summary: I am replacing the dead board with a replacement. I really want to use this board because it has such great potential. Fingers crossed for an operational board this go around.
  • Pros: The board came with four sata cables which is amazing. The appearance of the board is very appealing. The layout is simple and reliable. The led lights are bright and are a very nice touch.
  • Cons: The board came dead on arrival. I am probably just a fluke since gigabyte is a very reliable company and brand.

Slick board!

Daniel D., Newegg
22 July 2015
  • Summary: Tons of ports, most went unused since this is a dedicated gaming PC and I don't really have a need for so many things like USB ports and tons of SSDs/HDDs. Board looks slick, the BIOS is crazy interesting, havent even messed with it really yet, but through a couple glances, it looks fun to mess...
  • Pros: All the ports i'd ever need great build quality, easy to read and layout is mostly great feature-filled BIOS. ridiculously fast boot while paired with an SSD.
  • Cons: The CD/DVD that came with it is absolute incredible garbage. Layout for the pins for the case could be a bit better. USB 3.0 connect port wasn't too secure,

Fan Headers

Anthony P., Newegg
10 November 2013
  • Pros: I want to first mention that I did not buy this motherboard from NewEgg. -Color Scheme -Cpu over clock ability -PLX Chip -Awesome features Feels like the 329.99 I paid was worth every penny besides the flaws in the cons.
  • Cons: This motherboard is questionable. The first one that I got from the computer store did not work. I installed it to my system the computer turned on for 2 seconds then died and the motherboard was totally gone. I RMA'D it (Gigabytes customer service was 8/10) When the new board arrived I installed...

Fantastic board, but UPDATE BIOS

Anthony W., Newegg
12 April 2013
  • Summary: Could not get video cards to display anything on first boot. Debug LED gave me the direction to go in, but the manual was so poorly written / translated that it almost didn't help at all.
  • Pros: - UEFI bios is very nice looking and very functional. - Dual PCI-e x16 - Best crossfire / SLI solution around - Very solid and well built - Dual NIC's - Debug LED is good for troubleshooting - On-board power switch for testing
  • Cons: - stock bios cannot see most pci-e 3.0 cards - PC speaker is obnoxiously irritating (nitpicking)

Nice motherboard!

Vernon B., Newegg
8 April 2013
  • Pros: Nice, stable motherboard with good overclocking options.
  • Cons: If using 3 or more video cards, all PCI-E x1 slots are blocked as well as PCI slot. Not enough room for fourth video card as the cable connections are so close to the connector as to likely keep the card from seating properly. (Not a problem for me as I don't plan on getting a third, much less fo...

Great Board

  • Summary: My Computer Spec Sheet GIGABYTE G1.Sniper 3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard ZOTAC ZT-61102-10M GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)...
  • Pros: So far so good with this board. I'm not a gamer but I do work with graphics and I have a thing for high quality. I chose this board over others because of the insane amount of SATA ports on this thing. I don't like to be limited to how many gizmos I can add to my machine and I dont' have to worry...
  • Cons: The on board audio sounds very low pitched, inaudible and distorted. I'm using the audio jack on the front of my HAF XM case instead which works fine. I haven't troubleshooted it that much yet other than re-installing drivers but as part of my new rig this is the only flaw I've had thus far.

Lots of features, a few minor flaws

Michael Nguyen, Amazon
28 November 2012
  • Summary: There's so much to this board that it's hard to figure out where to start. This thing has 2 ethernet ports, one of those being the killer e2200. You won't have much of a problem with lag.

Not bad

Brett S., Newegg
7 October 2012
  • Pros: Over all not a bad board. Had to return it because not compatible with some devices I had. Wasn't really as I expected. If it was not for the compat. issues it would have made a nice build.
  • Cons: Lacks USB headers. The addon card for bluetooth and wifi requires an internal USB header. The bluetooth part will not work without the USB connection.
