Eric, Amazon
2 April 2015
  • Summary: Recently got this for a project I was working on and I have no complaints, this is probably the best motherboard I've ever used and I was surprised by the fiber optic part that lights up when the motherboard is in operation (Glows red as you can imagine). Definitely worth the money.

This motherboard is good enough with all of the features you need for ...

Woube, Amazon
29 December 2014
  • Summary: This motherboard is good enough with all of the features you need for pretty much any motherboard you buy. Although this chipset isn't overclockable, still a great choice to go with if you don't want to overclock.

Gigabyte G1 Sniper 6 H97

Allan, Amazon
1 September 2014
  • Summary: This motherboard is a very solid motherboard for the gamer on a budget or for someone who just needs a good motherboard for a build for casual use. Because this is a H97 board, there isn't any overclocking and you can only use 1 video card.

Dead right after one year....sad

Wu Jin Qiao "Nerdy", Amazon
7 December 2013
  • Summary: (Pardon for my English) After one year of not heavy usage, this board is dead, it freezes at the start up screen and shows a black screen right after it, tried to clear out cmos and switch to backup bios, both didn't solve the problem anyway.

Failed in less than a year, RMA process is not the speediest.

DJD, Amazon
6 December 2013
  • Summary: Failed after 8 months - would not POST. From the day you request an online RMA from gigabyte to the day you get back a repaired/refurbished unit is about 2 weeks. If you cannot afford to be out of your PC for 2 weeks, you may want to consider this.

User Review

Rob Williams, Techgage
3 May 2013
  • Conclusion: As always, GIGABYTE has done a solid job with its latest G1.Sniper iteration to cater to the hardcore gamer. It features a good audio solution (though not X-fi, for some reason), and dual-LAN.

Wonderful board. Excellent customer service.

Start, Amazon
15 April 2013
  • Summary: I agree with all the other good reviews of this motherboard. In addition to it's excellent function. I have to say Gigabyte provides a wonderful customer service support to backup this excellent board. I accidentally dropped my CPU on the socket and bent several pins.
