  • Summary: Great motherboard. Got it after an eBay bundle of PC parts came with a motherboard DoA. Luckily he reimbursed me for the purchase and I turned around and bought this one. Arrived on-time and in working condition.

Good to buy if you have an old AMD chip you want to use

Derek A. Larson, Amazon
17 April 2013
  • Summary: I only bought this because my original motherboard went out and I wanted to reuse the old components. I haven't owned it for long enough to comment on reliability, but everything seems fine in these first months.

Motherboard

Seth R., Newegg
6 March 2013
  • Summary: Unless you already have the AM3 processor, you have no reason to buy this. They've got newer ones out there that are backwards compatible anyway. After research on date posted, AM3+ or FM2 are the way to go, am3+ for CPU or if you want to get an APU (much more complicated and not necessarily worth...
  • Pros: Is motherboard.
  • Cons: Is Foxconn. Also, outdated.

Re-evaluation

PETER B., Newegg
26 February 2013
  • Pros: Replacement MOBO installed easily -- looks great. Foxconn tech support (Rick) was very helpful answering some questions I had. Everything is functioning well.
  • Cons: It would be helpful if Foxconn included a troubleshooting sheet covering: proper CMOS jumper setting, more thorough explanation of MOBO board connectors, tech support contact info, etc.

Pretty -- but DOA

PETER B., Newegg
11 February 2013
  • Pros: Simple instructions are clear.
  • Cons: Power would not latch "on" when front "on" switch was depressed. Shorting the corresponding pinds on the board didn't help. MOBO needs to be replaced. Rating will go up if I get a working MOBO.
