Great board

Andrew T., Newegg
11 December 2008
  • Summary: Foxconn have been in business since PC's began, possibly even before that. They made semi conductors and plugs so you could have seen their logo many years before they started making components. I am using this board with a Phenom X4 9550 4gb of ram and a GF9800GTX. I have had no issues whatsoever.
  • Pros: Cheap. Brilliantly thought out and well made. Exceptional software (Fox update, Fox Live Update & Fox logo (allows you to change the boot logo in post). Good bios, I managed a very easy overclock of the Phenom to 2550 from 2200 stock. Sadly my ram could not match the FSB and I got artifacts, so I...
  • Cons: Small.

  • Summary: THIS ARE THE MOBOS USED BY DELL!!!!
  • Pros: THIS IS THE BEST VALUE ON NEWEGG, PCI EXPRESS X16, DDR2800, AM2, 4 SATA 3.0 GB/S PORTS AND IDE FDD CONNECTIONS TOO. FOR A BUDGET COMPUTER IS VERY GOOD, IT DOES NOT LOOK CHEAP, DRIVERS WORK GREAT, I HAVE BOUGHT MORE THAN 10 OF THIS AND NOT A SINGLE D.O.A.
  • Cons: THEY SHOULD INCLUDE 2 OR MORE SATA CABLES, NO BIG DEAL, YOU CAN BUY ONE FOR AROUND $6 INCLUDING SHIPPING

Motherboard

Anonymous, Newegg
15 August 2008
  • Summary: Maybe gigabit ethernet and pci express 2.0 would have been nice. Used this for my 2nd build.
  • Pros: Works great in linux... mostly. The on board video can handle compiz fusion in ubuntu 8.04 but flickers until you turn it off.
  • Cons: Onboard video flickers- plan to upgrade. The onboard sound crackles and distorts music.

Nice Board

Joseph M., Newegg
24 June 2008
  • Summary: If your looking for a decent all around board, and not wanting to spend alot, this is a nice board.
  • Pros: Bought this for a Customer from another store, was in a hurry. Nice board, not the fastest out there, but for the price. its not bad
  • Cons: The audio issue. make sure when you install the audio, and it you see a box come up that is found the driver or something like that, ignore it and just let it finish installing. Some PC Chips and ECS boards are like that.
