Summary: Like everyone else the first one I got was a dud, one of the ram slots was dead (I updated the bios and everything) Now luckily EVGA is probably the best company I've ever dealt with for customer support so they sent me a new one that worked and had an up to date bios. I am happy with it now, just wish it didn't take two tries to get it right.
Summary: This was a board to replace a EVGA X79 Dark that was destroyed by a leaking AIO CPU Liquid cooler. The board works as good as the original except I did not look at the description closely as my original had built in Blue Tooth, this one did not. I have been a fan of EVGA for many years and highly recommend them. I also added two EVGA GeForce GTX 780 graphics cards plus 64 GB ram Experience level: near expert, over 50 years in electronics.
Summary: I want to start by saying that the board needs a BIOS update as soon as you get it. What will happen is that you will not be able to use any GPU in the upper class because it will Post Code you (B2). The fix? Get EVGA to send you the BIOS chip OR you can go to your local electronics store, pick up a 8600GS GPU or above and boot that bad boy and then install new BIOS. Then of course you can take that GPU back or keep it. Besides that Major Inconvenience it works great.
