  • Summary: EPoX 5EPA+ likes its brother, 5EGA+ bridges the old and new as it uses the conventional DDR400. As we have mentioned before, the gains of DDR2 versus DDR is not substantial enough for us to switch totally to DDR2.
  • Pros: Gigabit ethernet, Many overclocking options, IDE RAID
  • Cons: Performance could be better, No 1394

  • Conclusion: The omission of several key features in a high-end motherboard is disheartening. In what is seemingly an effort to keep prices competitive, EPoX has left their top range EP-5EPA+ partially crippled.
