Biostar G41-M7 Motherboard, A GREAT MOTHER BOARD for the price
19 August 2011
Summary: 10 out of 10. Great micro board. Lots of upgrade-ability. Will handle 8gb of ram, nice. Model G41-M7 supports a variety of processors from Celeron to Quad Core. So if you are looking to upgrade on a shoestring budget, and you have a 775 processor, likely it will work in this board and you can upgrade as more money comes available. We have bought several of these. Solid, no issues, no customer complaints.
Summary: This board is excellent for the price and feature set; I bought it for 2 reasons. 1) Have original core2 E6420 CPU, OC'ed from 2.1 to 2.6 GHz. Since it is a 4 Mb cache model, that is the equivalent of the current E8xxx 'Wolfdale' processors, more or less. The board is in a cubby in a desk where the computer gets *hot*. The board has been on non-stop for 4 months now and does great.
Summary: I've been using this main board for approximately a day. I was very impressed with the size of this Micro-ATX motherboard. It is the smallest I've seen with a well thought-out layout for the motherboard cable connections. My system configuration is an Intel E2200, 2GB DDR2 Kingston, 160GB WD SATA300, Thermaltake 430W PSU, On-board graphics, and On-board sound. The system appears to run very stable on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10.
