Long term report

Darryl M., Newegg
13 December 2015
  • Summary: The AI Suite of stuff is nice looking, but seems a bit bloated. I don't use the Bluetooth or wi-fi radios so I disabled them. I would buy an Asus board again.
  • Pros: The "4 Way Optimization" automatically and successfully OCed the i7-4770K to 4.4GHz. Its been a stable board since I got it in 2012 and now its almost 2016. Time for a new system? Not quite, this one is still running everything well.
  • Cons: Recently had some problems with boot up slowing down, and it would take a while for the USB keyboard and mouse to show up. I reinstalled the Asus AI Suite and everything was good again. Its a nit, but the AI suite doesn't recognize CPU fan speed, I think the fan (Freezer 7 Pro ver 2) is too slow ...

Asus Z87-Deluxe Webcam Issue

midwestjim7, Newegg
7 September 2014
  • Pros: Nice colors - gold and black, lots of USB ports, nice manual.
  • Cons: Asus mobo will not permit Logitech webcam to work at all. "Can't start video. Try closing other programs that might be using your webcam". All 3 of my Logitech webcams work on ALL my other PC's - with

Piece of junk

Andrew R., Newegg
5 September 2014
  • Pros: It's a motherboard.
  • Cons: Sometimes, more often than not, USB ports won't work. Wireless adapter is dying only one year after buying this mobo. This mobo may also be the cause of my BSOD's that I get once a month but there is no way to tell. Thanks Asus.

Nothing to complain about

Anupam N., Newegg
18 July 2014
  • Pros: The board that I bought 7 months ago is still working great. With all the features and software that came with it, like the AI Suite 3 is awesome. I am able to change everything that is connect to the motherboard with a single click of a button. Asus did a great job in creating a high quality boa...

Followup Disaster

Maurecio C., Newegg
12 June 2014
  • Pros: Specs are appealing. Good job Jonney Shih!
  • Cons: Service and follow through is horrible. Uh oh Jonney Shih, how did that happen? So I posted an honest review of the defective motherboard I received from Asus. Asus responded and suggested an RMA. I attempted to place an RMA online and their forms crashed 6 times at the same spot. All spyware/fir...

Buyer Beware

Maurecio C., Newegg
10 June 2014
  • Pros: Specs are awesome... but beware of defects!
  • Cons: Defective LGA1150 socket that gives "55" RAM error. Upon receipt, inspect the 66 land contacts with a magnifying lens. I had 2 broken upon receipt.

Ongoing Issues

Robert K., Newegg
27 May 2014
  • Summary: I have been using Asus boards since the early 90's and that's why this is a shock. I decided to build my new system with the top of the line board hence the Quad. Sadly I purchased in December 2013 but was not able to build until the New Year or I would have had it replaced with Newegg.
  • Pros: Has every feature you would want in a high end motherboard
  • Cons: Problems with USB Flashback port and software features No stock for replacement, no ETA on replacement, not stable. Customer service lacking

Issues Out of the Box

James K., Newegg
19 May 2014
  • Summary: I will update with my opinions on the level of service from ASUS after they respond.
  • Pros: Great specs! Wonderful features and the board actually runs very well, once I get it running.
  • Cons: Will not power off. Tell Windows or Ubuntu to Shut Down, the system powers off, then three seconds later powers itself back on again. The only way to power it off is using the PSU switch. After turning off at the PSU, an error occurs at boot up, stating that the Memory Address is Insufficient due...

ASUS Z87-Deluxe/Quad Motherboard

Neil N., Newegg
13 May 2014
  • Summary: Several reviews of this board said ASUS should let us know which of the 2 Ethernet ports is the Intel one. I just received my ASUS Z87-Deluxe/Quad motherboard, and it has an "Intel" sticker that covers the top of the Ethernet output port (the one closest to the BIOS feedback button), that states...
  • Pros: *Best motherboard for future use (6 USB 3.0, 4 USB 2.0, 10 SATA ports, 2 Thunderbolt2 ports @ 20 Gbs each, Realtek’s ALC1150 audio codec). *Good Simple coloring scheme, Black, to show off my other components & lighting, and Gold, to show how much I had to spend for the motherboard) *Excellent lay...

Seems like good board, but shipped malfunctioning and poor RMA support

Madan Soundar, Amazon
7 May 2014
  • Summary: I was really excited for this board, but board came with only 2 of the RAM slots working. Yes I tried usual suite of tests including troubleshooting with Asus support, and A1 and A2 do not work, after searching internet I did find others with similar issues.
