Summary: We bought three of these for our office use one had a problem with usb 3 and the other had the memory lanes problem we didn't notice the second one from the start because we only needed 8gb of Ram at the beginning but when we decided to increase the ram we faced this annoying problem, Worst part...
Pros: Has everything you would ever want in a motherboard.
Cons: 2 of the memory lanes didn't work, we've tried 3 different memory brands with different frequencies all approved by Asus's QVL but none of them worked, we also tried different power supplies and different cpus too still no use as soon as we installed the other two modules we got 0055 error code.
Summary: Purchased this board because i wanted a future proof 1150 socket board with all the latest and the greatest bells and whistles. Upon set up, I initially had some driver issues due to the order in which I installed them so I had to re-install the OS three times.
Pros: -Powerful -Power Saver -Fully Customize-able -Wireless AC -Automatic stable high Overclock -Diagnostic Codes on board -Fast Pretty
Cons: -Difficult initial driver and software install -Expensive
Summary: I love my asus routers, asus monitors, etc., but It'll be a long time before I waste a big chunk of my life wrestling with an Asus motherboard.
Pros: Looks very good on paper. Virtually every feature you can imagine. Looks like maybe it's discontinued. Too little, too late.
Cons: Purchased from a big box store on 1/1/2014. Flaky at best. After upgrading the bios to 1707, buying another Core I7, just in case, swapping out ram, changing drivers ad-infinitum the thing was never stable. Sound never worked, so Asus replaced the board for that reason, but reliability was never ...
Summary: Just some things to watch if you purchase this board: 1) Make sure you fully test RAM dimms on the board with memtest86+. 2) Test USB 3 ports Tips: 1) One of the drivers for the board is only found on CD and not on website. Make sure you install that driver.
Pros: Great board with good features. Reason below for low rating.
Cons: Some of the reasons why i gave low rating: 1) Memory controller died and my board is in RMA. 2) USB 3.0 problems.
Summary: great motherboard - it has built in 802.11AC , bluetooth - both run from an external antenna that looks awesome sitting anywhere (currently on top of my case). sata 3.0 (6Gbs), built in raid. This should be my last MB for quite a while!!
Summary: Great but if you want to use a USB 3.0 mass storage solution stay away.
Pros: This is a fantastic board, easy to install (I love the ASUS Q-Connector), plenty of expansion capabilities and I you don't have to waste a PCI-e slot on wifi. If it weren't for the still present problem with USB 3.0 it would have 5 out of 5.
Cons: I have an external Raid solution which I used to run with e-SATA. My Raid 5 solution also has USB 3 which is obviously faster then the SATA 2 controller in my Raid box so now that I have a motherboard with USB 3.0 I want to make use of it. I had read that ASUS upgraded it's USB 3.0 chipset to fix...
Summary: This is a top rated mother board. I have run it with 3 different processers, different ram types, with and with out a video card. NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM The bios options are EXCELLENT , it will even setup your overclocking by it self.
Summary: Built my 1st computer with this motherboard. I did not incur any problems and the machine has run for near 24 hours so far. My process was to connect all components (CPU, GPU, hard drives, power supply, etc.) update bios (Asus has updated bios 7 times) and installed all updated drivers.
