Summary: Very nice board with lots a desirable features. Purchased it because I wanted 6 Intel SATA III controllers, plus Intel USB 3.0, and Thunderbolt. Unfortunately on the version I received two of the RAM slots on the board were faulty (gave error code 55 - which means no RAM inserted, even when RAM that works fine is inserted). So the board would not post with 4 memory modules in and after posting with 2 it would only run my Corsair Vengeance RAM on 1333Mhz (not 1600).

Summary: The ASUS Z87-Deluxe/Dual has intel-4770K (Carsair H100i cooler, w/ G.Skill 32Gb DDR3-1600 (XMP) Two Display Cards W/Cross-Fire, Creative blaster X-Fi, Six Hard Drive (SeaGate), One SSD (intel), 3 DVD/BR Drive,10 USB Devices camera, 4 Hubs, 2 Printers HP 8600 &1220c, Tape2PC Drive & Record Player, three Carousel Disc Storage Units, Keyboard & Mouse, Windows 7 Pro 64b.
Summary: This motherboard is awesome. Loaded with rich features I haven't even started to use. Run into a problem with a air cooler installation, the heat sink around the CPU blocks the cooler clips from attaching to the plastic ring holding the cooler heat sink. The solution was to cut the metal clip to allow it to slide-in side way.
Summary: First Deluxe/Dual was unstable so I replaced the RAM (thinking I got bad memory). System was still unstable with new RAM, so (after much memory testing, updating BIOS, etc.) I replaced the board with another Deluxe/Dual. Same problems with the new one so I replaced it with a plain Deluxe. The Deluxe works without any problems - solid as a rock. If ASUS is watching these reviews -- the system crashes if RAM is installed in both gold slots.
Summary: So for my first build I was going to go with the Maximus extreme VI board but after hearing some not so great things about it I decided on this board. I've only owned this for a little over a week so far but so far I'm really liking it. It has more features than you can shake a stick at even for the olympic stick shakers.
Summary: Amazon Prime is fantastic - and has allowed a smooth, easy return. This motherboard has a KNOWN hidden flaw, which directly wrecked my use of this board. It is using the first revision of the motherboard chipset - which Intel has admitted has a flaw recovering many USB 3.0 external drives when waking from sleep. In my case these were TWO different SSD storage drives, a deadly combination for HTPC use.
Summary: As usual, Amazon cannot get their descriptions right. This is an LGA1150 board, since the chip is an 1150 socket processor. ALL of the Asus Z87 boards are incorrectly labeled. The Gigabyte Z87 boards are labeled correctly.
