Summary: There is a big difference between this level of ASUS board and the way more expensive boards like the Z87-Deluxe-Quad I am setting up in a new system for a client. However, the underlying architecture is the same. The big board came with all kinds of bells and whistles, extra parts, etc. The -C came pretty much bare bones with a comparable lower price, and that is what I wanted for the system I built.
Great motherboard for the price! easy oc on 154670k at 4.2

Summary: for the price this thing is great, it has a great bios to set up fan speed, and easy overclocking. I had it owith my i5 4670k from 3.4 to 4.2 stable on prime 95 on air. For the money this thing is great.
Summary: I bent the right pin so it still worked with the i5 4670k I have. Reasonable price with the bundle. Everything worked smoothly Plenty of function. But for similar price I might go with the Z87-A version of the board.
Summary: The UEFI BIOS is very well laid out; easy to follow. Once my replacement board arrived (the 1st one was DOA but and ASUS replaced it after going through some diagnostics with me) my ne machine booted up without any issues. Reloaded my OSes and software - works like a charm. Have not tried too many of the advanced features yet - will experiment later on. It is advertised as a ''nice, entry-level board'' My only complaint - only 6 SATA ports.
black screen with video card. no help from customer service

Summary: new install. worked fine before video card installed. after card was installed booted to a black screen. customer service not too interested but suggested clean install and bios flash. did both with no improvment. customer servise said it must be a defective pcie slot. getting a lot of experience assembling and dismantalling a computer.
Summary: I bought a barebones which include this board. I built a new machine to replace my sisters old pc I built over 5 years ago. The problem I had was when i went to shutdown the pc it would only restart. I thought it was a connector on the bezel and swapped the connectors still had the same problem. i called ASUS and they told me since I had a Haswell chip it might be the power supply. I did not agree with the tech and RMA'ed the board.
