Summary: It was an upgrade PC for my wife. She was really pleased with the finished unit. The setup was the easiest ever. The utilities disk took care of disk management and all the driver updates. The finished project has 3 HD's and full memory slots.
Summary: The bios is smooth every accessory was simple, easy to install and follow on the directions, my boards USB 3.0 came unusable, the motherboard input had come with the metal prongs out of shape there was no getting a hookup in there. Though the board had more than Enough usb 3.0 on the back, it rendered my cases front 3.0 useless. Not gonna ding it for that though. Everything else worked like a charm no cosmetic flaws and no bios update was needed for me.
Summary: There are several other extensive reviews here already and I won't repeat what they've already said. Just a few comments from my experience.... I was going to buy the Formula but Amazon was out of stock and I needed to get my build done so I went with the Sabertooth. The build and install were utterly painless and the board seems very well constructed. I put it in a Corsair Air Carbide 540 case with an Intel 4770k CPU. I used the stock cooler.
Summary: i love this mobo as if it were my own child. the thermal armor keeps this mobo cool. i dont see temps above 34C when gaming or doing anything for that matter. the ai suite 3 software is awesome and the bios is friendly. i dont O.C. but someone who does this mobo would be perfect for keeping temps down.
Summary: I have been building pc's for 15 years using Asus motherboards. I typically stay in their P series for Intel chipsets but decided to try the Sabertooth for it's extra cooling and dust shields. This is a very solid board and easy to handle. I'm very impressed with the quality of this board.
Summary: By far the best Mobo I have ever purchased and used. Have had it for a few months now. Instillation was super easy, board is super rigid and durable, and all the cooling sensors on it make it super easy to check how your hardware is performing. Also has a nice GUI BIOS which is really user friendly. I hope they keep this form factor going for years to come and keep up the great quality.
Summary: I would highly recommend this board to anybody, the dust covers for the PCI slots is a great touch especially if you live in a house that collects a LOT of dust
Pros: I got this board figuring that it was one of the best 1550 chip-sets around and I was correct! The direct boot feature is amazing especially when you can't get to the delete key or F2 key quickly, you can press the button and boot directly into the BIOS.
Cons: none yet, probably that the SATA ports are right-to-left, down-to-up instead of left-to-right, up-to-down
