Summary: Great MB while it works. Support is 1 on a scale 1 to 10. Mine start shutting down system unexpectedly over a month ago after working without any issues for year and a half. This is 5 year warranty MB, but they pay for RMA shipping only 1st year.
Summary: But the biggest issue is Asus tech support. I sent the board in and they said the cpu pins were bent so they wanted 180 bucks USD to repair it. The board DOESN'T"T HAVE CPU PINS!!! They lie. I will NEVER purchase a asus product again. The 5 year warranty is a joke. Seriously... don't buy asus.
Pros: full featured. Lots of bells and whistles
Cons: Board failed soon after with random issues. Would not come out of sleep mode without a shut down for 5 min then restart. NIC failed. Sound Failed. Board runs hot due to the so called armor. Poor software.
Pros: Customer service great, until it reached repair facility in Indiana. All down hill from there. Waiting to see how the reman works, and will update.
Cons: I bought a ASUS z77 Sabertooth motherboard for my build this spring. Had a problem with a video card slot. Move slot, no big deal. Outbound and inbound sound kept cutting out. Bought expensive sound card. Same result. Send it back to ASUS. Test and repair, FAILS bench test. Send back on floor for...
Summary: Its a shame, i bought it expecting more and got less.
Pros: Great board, OC, Bios, interface etc. Was ready for the world, until...
Cons: Was useless after less than a year (the ram led light problem) sent it in for rma to asus as i got it from newegg, got it back in a few weeks... Only the motherboard came back in a ordinary brown box with no accessories or mounts, and it still was NOT working.
Summary: although the aesthetics of the thermal armor is impressive, its really just plastic that instead of keeping the board cool, keeps it much hotter. My board ran at 40 degrees C at idle which is ludicrous, and those 30mm fans? the biggest deal killer.
Summary: I have always been very happy with my Asus products in the past but this board kinda lets me down. It does the job but that's about it. The heat shield thing is just kind of a gimmick in my opinion and don't see a major advantage to it.
Pros: -Well packaged. -Super Easy Bios, even for overclocking your processor a little bit -Looks cool.
Cons: -Front USB 3.0 header is located along the length of the PCIx16 slot, impedes large graphics cards depending on the case. -Motherboard fans are LOUD. -Heat shield does not flow air as well as one would think. If you overclock even a little bit (3770k to 4.5GHz) the board gets hot spots and will l...
Summary: Bought this MB for a build back in August '12, system was stable and fast for about a week then noticed the CPU fan beginning to hesitate, then slowly start to turn on startup. MB gave up on me a few days later and RGA for a replacement.
