Pros: Everything was great with the board, loads of memory capacity, SOLID BUY.
Cons: ASUS RMA and repair is a joke. The board stopped getting power to the back bridge one day so I sent the board in, ASUS then held the board for 7 days to tell me that it was damaged which it wasn't. This is the second time dealing with their services and they are just awful. Everything except for ...
Summary: Amazon is Great. Amazon is Great. Amazon is Great....got it. ASUS is not great, but now that I have committed to to the Sabertooth X79 as I have purchased 64 GB (CMT32GX3M4X1866C9) and i7 4930K processor.
Summary: keep in mind that raid configurations can and do fail, they are not a replacement for good backups.
Pros: -lots of features and a pretty solid board
Cons: -difficult to access the raid controller menu, screen flashes pretty quicky -all sata ports are either ahci or raid, no combination, one controller -no front-of-case lan activity header -trying to find a driver on asus's website is a major headache
Summary: Asus customer support/ technical support though I had a bad M/B too so I wont fault them there. It is their RMA process. They deliberately have their RMA system set up to be as difficult as possible. I decided to do an advanced RMA by having a hold put on my CC for $360.00 .
Pros: The motherboard is a great. It is super fast, but will soon be obsolete. My system is 1.5 years old and my system has failed. But the M/B ended up being good. This is a followup review. Turns out it was a pulsing 5vds in the power supply that was causing the issue.
Cons: ASUS America Customer support needs some serious revamping. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a company....EVER. It is no wonder EVGA is coming out so strong, with their warranties and superfast customer service, ASUS better wakle up.
Summary: I got a motherboard with a defective ram slot, only 3 out of 4 ram sticks work. I called up and requested a RMA and everything went fine. Still haven't gotten my replacement, I went for the program where you give your credit card and they sent you the motherboard first.
Pros: Great motherboard and works fine. Very powerful and would recommend to anyone looking to build a powerful pc.
Summary: the updates to the bios i recently download finley allowed me to update to a pcie ocz revodrive 3 as a boot drive and still keep a raid on the intel chipset previously this was just to much for the motherboards to post to and boot in that kind of configuration i was still running it as a data drive...
Pros: Pros this board albeit not designed for maxium overclocking like its ROG relatives has some auto decent overclocking abilities that you'd expect for the price Over designed in durability if you recive a flawless board it should last long after its use as a main pc. update as recently as this year...
Cons: kknow factory defects include weak socket pins that make the 2011 slanted pin socket design even worse since it cant be rma'd to asus extremely stubborn pci express slot tabs if broken you cant rma the board some rare instances of bad Sata ports might of been a fluke for me i was out of case test...
Summary: GTX 680 Classified 2x Vertex 4 256GB Raid 0 (brought in 2012) Seagate 3TB HD 32GB Gskill ripjaws Z Cool Master 1000W Silent pro Corsair H60 cooler TT Level 10 GT
Pros: This board is the nice when it will work properly.
Cons: Long story short. When I plug in any internal usb device front panel, etcs(on the board), audio goes bye bye. when I unplug internal usb, sound comes back. Analysis after 2days of trouble shots. But I do love this board. Asus RMA coming up. 3 eggs because I love newegg.
Summary: Honestly, this is a known issue. Either put a sticker on all the boxes with a bios version label, and "flash the bios first" warning, or train the support staff to tell the consumer how to fix this.
Pros: Once it's running the board works like a champ. Fast, and slick. It becomes everything that I expect of an Asus board.
Cons: I have an open RMA for this board. I'm going to let it expire by itself. Had the red CPU light issue (like everyone else) with a 4820 CPU. First Asus online support rep - told me to look up and see if the CPU was supported. When I asked if she had the list in front of her, and why she couldn't ju...
Summary: Works, but still not ecstatic about the driver support
Pros: Seems to have it all and works pretty well so far.
Cons: Issues with initial usage. I did flash up the bios finally (as others have needed to) to the 4404 version. Was able to load linux and win7 on separate drives, but the Win7 system still lacks drives for many "Base System Components" and have not found the drivers on Asus or intel sites. This is my...
Nice features and easy to setup, warrenty replacement failed motherboard very slow
Jim M. "bsedan-com", Amazon
5 November 2013
Summary: After only 90 days my MB failed with a boot error that could not be corrected. Asus support is there but is painfully slow and at times, depending on who you speak with, offers conflicting information.
