  • Summary: The Corsair H50 DOES NOT work well with this board. The backing plate would not rest flush on the back of the circuit board until I Dremmeled away plastic for holes for...
  • Pros: I don't know any. Good reputation as I've owed many Asus products and with the exception of a cheap Asus laptop that's poor, I am impressed. Well built.
  • Cons: Doesn't recognize the LG internal Bluray drive. There is only one optical drive in this system so it is crippling. Also recognized one external USB drive (WB My Passbo...

  • Summary: All newer version even though have description of better stability actually remove overclocking options and make ASUS boards less stable.
  • Pros: Nice looking board, very easy to install, runs cool, highly overclockable.
  • Cons: Quality and Bios. This is not just this particular board but the whole lineup.

  • Summary: In addition, the Bios will not detect my Corsair K90 Keyboard. Asus support forums insist this keyboard was tested and works, but I can assure you it does not.
  • Pros: Loads of memory space available, lots of fan connectors and fairly friendly overclocking in Bios. Looks good too.
  • Cons: The cons lay with Asus website and software mostly. The descriptions of their Bios updates are not the clearest. The latest I checked somehow converts your Bios format...

Seems fine, but one ANNOYING issue

TE, Newegg
19 August 2012
  • Pros: Super fast board, high quality components, great cooling management, makes an i7 six-core scream.
  • Cons: My new ASUS Sabertooth P79 board keeps dropping sata 3 drives (blu ray drive and secondary hard drive) in windows 7 64. The drives show up in windows everytime after I...
