Summary: So for starters this is a great board and I got it for a good deal, but after some trial runs with the other components, it started acting up by what I assume was the boards programming to automatically shut down after getting too hot. That's fine because I figured out that it was actually my fault for getting too small of a water cooler (Corsairs H60 water cooling system), the H60 was much too small a radiator to handle the 220W heat generating CPU (AMD FD9370FHHKWOF...

Summary: This MB has some a problem with SSD drives when setting up Raid configuration. I tried to contact Asus for help but they were completely useless as they would not even admit there might be a problem and to refer to manual and it was something I was not doing right. not to happy with costumer service.
Summary: I have been trying with this board for a couple days now with no luck. The board does look good, but, first off it does not have an IDE port only SATA, my fault i guess for not doing proper research. Got a SATA optical drive, installed it, but it keeps getting stuck at the windows logo. I tried the bios flash over thing, dont think it worked because the bios name remained the same and it still has the same problem.
Summary: Cheaper motherboards seem to run much faster than this. I am beginning to understand why this motherboard is the only one of its kind on the market. Sometimes when I boot it hangs and I have to press the reset button to get it to boot. It's not too big of a deal as I leave my computer on most of the time. I just don't think this motherboard lives up to it name, and is not worth the price tag, in terms of performance.
Summary: i have had 3 of these in my new build...first one wouldn't post second one posted but the audio jacks on the back would not work the 3rd one seems to be working but i just installed it yesterday so we will see what happens. The after hour asus support is as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle and to think about it so is most of the north american support aswell..
Summary: The onboard raid controller sucks so I spend hours trying to get RAID0 to work with my dual Western Digital VelociRaptor 500GB 10000RPM Hard Drives. It take up a lot of room in the case compared to other very comparable mother boards that are much more slim and easier to access accessory ports and slots. ASUS could have done a much better job on this board hardware wise and just as much driver/software wise. I would recommend a different board to anyone else.
Summary: This worked fine until recently the USB ports disconnect and reconnect every minute. It's a very annoying problem. Tried everything from total wipe of my entire cpu tried to buy usb 3.0 for the card slots nothing... I went to fries to ask the techs and they tell me, "That's the first thing that goes out...you shoulda got the warranty" For a above average MOBO this isn't so hot.
Summary: My first of these boards worked well at first, then failed after 2 days. Returned it for a replacement which has been working well for about a week. Amazon' replacement procedure is awesome. I had a replacement board in just 3 days. So far it functions well. It's fast and the 6Gb/s SATA interface appears to be reliable with my Vertex SSD, which wasn't the case with my previous mobo (not an ASUS).
Summary: It's a great motherboard; however, I really wish that the version number of the board had been listed. At the time I was in the market for the newest version of this motherboard for it's added features which were not included on this one. Suffice it to say this product still satisfies my requirements but I do feel a bit jaded that the price was listed what it was considering that it's a REV 1.0 motherboard.
Summary: The pro's: - Looks amazing. I love the aesthetics of the motherboard. - Feels very sturdy. - Comes with a lot of software you can optionally install. - Has a fantastic feature where you can download BIOS updates (more on this in cons). - The manual was very well done (one of the best I've seen). The con's: - I had to RMA because it wouldn't work well with the AMD 8350. It worked okay for a couple of times booting, but would repeatedly fall asleep and not come back.
