Probably a good board.

M.R. "SciFiFan", Amazon
8 December 2013
  • Summary: Would have loved it but I needed a newer version. I had to wait quite a while for the updated version I might have been better off with this model but I did not use it.

Great Motherboard, lots of features!

George Gonzalez, Amazon
22 November 2013
  • Summary: This is a great motherboard! It has so many options for overclocking which I'm just beginning to learn. I knew from the get go it wouldn't detect my CPU, so thankfully this board has an easy way to flash the BiOS via the USB. Couple minutes later and boom detected it. I commited a newbie builder error, because this was my first build, and didn't attach any cooler to the CPU; I thought I didn't need it just to go the BiOS, but you do need it lol.

UPDATE THE BIOS!

William C., Newegg
20 November 2013
  • Summary: Thankfully it is REALLY EASY!
  • Pros: Every Feature you could ever want from a motherboard. I only used the XMP profile to speed everything up but awesome all the way around. Love the BIOS GUI, looks slick!
  • Cons: Intel Core i7-4820K Ivy Bridge-E requires a BIOS update before getting past the dreaded '00' Post code.

Fantastic

Kyle J., Newegg
9 October 2013
  • Summary: However, Asus has the beautiful feature of being able to flash the BIOS with no CPU, no memory, no hdd, no video card. Just power, and the board, and a USB stick. If that's too hard for you then you can buy the updated BIOS chip from Asus's E-Store for about $15.
  • Pros: Easy OC'ing, PCI On/Off Switches, dual BIOS's, all those fan plugins! This mobo just has it all, everything you think you need, and then a whole bunch more that just makes you think "Oh of course! Why didn't I think of that before!"
  • Cons: The 4930k and similar line processors have been out for almost a month (I know it's not a super long time) but the BIOS did not come updated with the latest version. Meaning that when I popped in my 4930k processor, all I got was 00 on the Debug ;)

Wow!

Hawk, Amazon
1 October 2013
  • Summary: This is my latest gaming rig and this is my MB. What can I say other than contrary to other poorer reviews, I had no complaints with this MB. I dropped it into a "Cooler Master, Storm Trooper'...added a bunch of upper priced goodies, and WOW! Of course the parts list is a bit long for here, but if you are thinking about building a new gaming rig that you can upgrade and play for years to come, you can check my latest gaming rig out on my free novel wen site (...

Incredibly Fast and Great Build Quality

bugdoc,, TigerDirect.com
29 July 2013
  • Summary: My first build, but the MB labeling and NCIX utube videos made this painless. Using this for Adobe CS6 with large photo and video editing, so got 64 Gb Vengeance 1600 quad ram - photoshop opens in 3s. Installed FancyCache giving 4Gb Ram caches to 4 drives (including both SSDs) - insane file transfer speeds and Adobe CS6 performance (saving 1.5 hours a day off of waiting).
