Some weak points but overall a top choice among current LGA2011 MBs and worth the $

  • Summary: Fast and a clean install - but something with the BIOS is buggy and despite very stable temps (never higher than 32-25C) I have been experiencing crashes once I hit an up-time of 6+hours. I tried all different types of driver/system/software updates, system restores, and even tweaked the OC settings but still nothing! System reboots fine and I have learned to restart as I near 6 hours but for my 4K sick rig this should not be happening...

Overall great board, but a few problems

I. Stewart, Amazon
10 November 2013
  • Summary: I've had this motherboard for a few weeks now, and so far I've been pleased. The BIOS is full of options which makes overclocking a breeze. Overall it's a great board, but I have 2 complaints: 1) I bought this to go with an Intel i7-4930K processor. Unfortunately this board does not support Ivy Bridge E-series CPUs out of the box. You must flash to the latest BIOS in order to boot. (-1 star) Fortunately, this board supports flashing without memory or CPU.

Quality control effort needs to be stepped up at ASUS

Bart V. Williams, Amazon
9 August 2012
  • Summary: I got this board and the packaging was excellent. However I discovered the pins where the cpu go where not symetrical in appearance. Using a magnifying glass dicovered 2 bins crossed with one a bit of a twist to it. Using some fine micro tooling managed to bend the pin back into place but could not get the twist out. Afterwards looking at the pins it looked symetrical in appearance. After assemblying system it appears that this board is just fine.

Excellent product

Redd, Amazon
23 April 2012
  • Summary: This has to be one of the most feature packed motherboards I've ever encountered. The ROG OC Key is great to monitor system settings with the system. Also the iROG app lets you view the status of your system using an iPad, ipod, or Droid. I had trouble with the iPad app, so I'm sticking to the android version. The start and reset buttons on the motherboard make quick work of troubleshooting, plus the diagnostic LEDs take the guesswork out of pinpointing problem spots.

  • Summary: Well I purchase this from Amazon and I did also mention to Amazon there is no package to indicating it's new or used... Because I'm one of the consumers that an old company that sells custom build PC's like Laptops... called something-Bee's I have the cap still.. LOL I haven't tried it yet but I'm still expecting a heatsink before turning it on...

Seems to be a good Motherboard.

Steven White, Amazon
23 March 2012
  • Summary: Bought from Amazon. ~~ITEM~~ ASUS Pros: ========== An abundance of features. OC Key is a nice addition. Best rated LGA2011 motherboard out the (March 2012). Works, seems stable on stock speeds (so far). ROG part of website helpful. ASUS Cons: ========== Inconsistent build quality. Poor packaging (hard to tell if box has been previously opened, some people report having some contents packed in bags other don't).

Great features but over volts CPU

a_Sh0pper, Amazon
5 September 2013
  • Summary: I have had 2 of these and I think they are remarkable. Have a bunch of great features for overclocking. Negative point is that the default settings will (in my case) over volt the CPU. I am running a i7 3970X @ 4.6 GHz 32GB 1600 XMP (folding and playing games fine 24x7) using CPU voltage of 1.340 volts, but when I ask the BIOS to use a multiplier of 46, the board will use 1.446 volts, which is way above what is needed.

Very good for high end user/bench marker

Bird is the Word, Amazon
5 March 2013
  • Summary: Very good for high end user/bench marker overkill for all other users. Doesn't include a 3 way SLI bridge that supports all slots on the board only one with the cards all bunched up. Fan control software supplied is rubbish compared to the software that comes with the sabre tooth.
