The Rampage II GENE is a CPU that supports an Intel® Socket 1366 Core™ i7 Processor Extreme Edition/Core™ i7 Processor Supports Intel® Dynamic Speed Technology and an Intel® X58 /ICH10R chipset with up to 6400 MT/s with QuickPath Interconnection bus system. Features

The Rampage II GENE features LGA1366 Intel® Core™i7 Processor which has integrated memory controller to support 3-channel DDR3 memory. It also features Intel® QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) with system bus up to 6.4GT/s and a max bandwidth of up to 25.6GB/s, as well as The Intel® X58 Express Chipset for utilizing serial point-to-point links. The Rampage II GENE also features Multi-GPU Technology, SLI/CrossFireX On-Demand, Triple-Channel that eliminates bottlenecks with peak bandwidths of up to 43.2 GB/s, and with up to DDR3 2000 (O.C.) MHz to meet the higher bandwidth. Other features are iROG which is an IC that enables user control and management of several ROG design to be processed at hardware level , increases overclocking for the PC and provide system maintenance and management, MemOK! which is a memory rescue tool, Extreme Tweaker to fine-tune the system to optimal performance, Voltiminder LED that allows quick voltage monitoring for overclockers, COP EX that allows overclockers to increase chipset voltages without the worries of overheating, Loadline Calibration that maintains ample voltage support for the CPU during overclocking, Q-Fan Plus that adjusts fan speed accordingly to achieve quiet and efficient cooling, and Q-Connector that allows users to connect or disconnect chassis front panel cables in one easy step with one complete module. It come bundled with Kaspersky® Anti-Virus and Futuremark® 3DMark®06 (Advanced Edition).

    does anybody has a suggestion for a good memory configuration >12GB?(size, vendor, etc)? The "out of spec" warning makes me nervious for ending up with the wrong DIMMs. Thanks.
