Summary: So far the best motherboard I have ever owned. Runs very stable. I will consider it overkill for gaming application. My cpu comes with a base clock of 3.4 mgz that you could run in Energy Saving mode and Standard Mode. Then you can run it in Turbo Mode at 3.9 mgz but it reads at 4.1 on the contrary.
Summary: Wow, it took a few sellers, and multiple price changes, RMAs, etc to get the proper board I was looking for. I eventually had to buy it off of a different site because I was done playing with Amazon's sellers.
Summary: Glad I chose this one. Put 16GB in it, I can run a handful of VM's ( on an SSD, which compensates for the 'VM Penalty' and makes them as ast as the base machine on a spinner HDD). BIOS update is easy = nice.
Summary: Completed the new build and the unit came right up. Have to love the UEFI Bios and the ability to swiftly use your mouse instead of the laborious keyboard arrows ! The MB offers numerous ways to adjust your CPU, memory, optimize your hard-drives (at least on SATA 1 & 2, which are 6Gb) and boost your...
Summary: I do design drafting at home using AutoCAD and Solid Works. Over the years these programs got bigger and bigger. To be able to keep up with this I decided to build my own PCs (more bang for the buck). This is my first Intel built. My old ones were all AMD's (less expensive).
Summary: Excellent motherboard from Asus! I read a lot of negative reviews, but this baby rocks...2 quad channel sets of Corsair ram (64 gb total), i-7 3930K, Nvidia 670 GTX FTW, Corsair H90 liquid cooling in Lian Li PC277F, and don't forget your SSD Samsung 840 Pro. Fast, fast fast...beautiful build!
Summary: I have owned this board with a 3820 processor, 32gb Crucial ram for almost 10 days. I realize this is a little quick for a review, but I am totally impressed with all the features, (some I may never use) on this mainboard. This is pure raw speed and power.
