Missing parts

Anonymous, Newegg
20 July 2015
  • Pros: I received the box, sealed from the factory. It comes in a plain white box. There were no IO shield or sata cables included in the box. The CD sleeves are wrinkled and look used. This was disappointing. I will be contacting Asus.
  • Cons: No IO shield, Sata cables.

Kevin M., Newegg
17 March 2015
  • Pros: Worked fine until a couple months ago
  • Cons: Died after two years. Keeps restarting at bios screen. Confirmed it wasn't memory, hard drive or power supply

worked for a while

Charles J., Newegg
8 January 2015
  • Pros: Ran well for about 2 years then nothing.
  • Cons: Was just running Facebook when all of a sudden it stopped working. The fans were running the light were on but no display. Could not do a soft shut down. Could not shutoff at the power switch. Had to turn off at the back. Put in a different video card, cleared the come, pull ram down to one , tri...

User Review

Bret L., Newegg
8 November 2014
  • Summary: Got this to replace my old Asus board which had a bad DIMM slot.. Just to find out the replacement has two bad slots. Also looked to be 3 bent pins on the CPU socket, but that didn't cause any issues.
  • Pros: Great design, easy to install.
  • Cons: Bad DIMM_A1 and DIMM_A2. Video card was not detected on PCIE port 1.

Not very lucky

Kyle V., Newegg
31 August 2014
  • Pros: Good features, when you get one that works.
  • Cons: Have to RMA the board again. Will no longer post. Also, if you use an OEM CPU cooler it may overlap the first RAM slot. As of now I have not had good luck with this board, But I'm hoping the third times the charm.

Bad Memory Channel

Jonathan M., Newegg
16 June 2014
  • Summary: Annoyed that the refurb center did not catch this - whilst I have a failure analysis background and have worked in MoBo FA for years prior (am now in Semis) - this is basic stuff. Someone didn't do their job.
  • Pros: 3x PCI 16x slots as opposed to the LX
  • Cons: Would not POST upon installation; Mem_OK DRAM LED illumination tipped me off. Verified my RAM Sticks were still good - channel A2 not functional.

Worked for about a year

Jonathan P., Newegg
4 April 2014
  • Summary: I've been using ASUS motherboards in all my builds. However, the ASUS motherboard in my previous build wasn't perfect either. Every once in a while it would fail to POST and I'd have to clear to the CMOS to get it working again. I trusted ASUS.
  • Pros: This was a good motherboard while it lasted. I started out looking at some of the higher-end Z77 motherboards from ASUS (something with a better audio solution) but settled on this one. The analog audio output was better than I had expected. It's features and versatility made it a great value unt...
  • Cons: Totally unreliable after a few months of use! I bought this motherboard for new build in April of 2013, along with an i5-3570K, a Radeon HD7950, 8GB DDR3 2133, etc. Nothing is overclocked. My new rig didn't get a lot of use (just some occasional gaming) until a few months ago when I started using...

Got a bad one

James Y., Newegg
15 March 2014
  • Summary: Pretty flimsy construction, and LAN port is inop, trying to install drivers was confusing. Continuously trying to reinstall chip set drivers. I guess you have to spend big bucks with Asus to get anything worth having. Too bad.
  • Pros: inexpensive, the UEFI Bios is sweet.
  • Cons: Been an Asus fanboy for years but this board is pretty lame. I've always purchased their upper level boards. This is my first experience with an Asus "value" board and I can't find any value in it at all. Will have to RMA due to LAN port is inop.

50%/50%

Anonymous, Newegg
5 February 2014
  • Pros: highly rated. cheap. asus brand.
  • Cons: Ordered 2 of these boards for new system setups. Both systems are identical. One works, one doesn't. After reading the other reviews, it is clear that this board is DOA. Now, I have to do a replacement ONLY (because newegg doesn't allow refunds on motherboards), send this thing back at my cost, a...

I really hate doing this

Kenneth Akiki, Amazon
24 July 2013
  • Summary: I have loved ASUS for so long now, ever since my brother got his first ASUS laptop about 4 years ago. Even now, I have an ASUS laptop, and three parts in my new desktop have ASUS' name on it.
