Summary: 2-11-2014 Update to my last review. I just ordered a ASUS MAXIMUS V EXTREME Motherboard from Amazon to replace my last MoBo that came in used. The Phone Support assisted me with an issuee I had and they were very professional.
Summary: Pros-Stable even with OC to 4300. Cons-Not really 3 SATA 6 Ports. Third one is Marvel controller and shows up as removable memory. This is not clear in the specs. UEFI Bios is ok, but even with manual not easy to navigate.
Summary: After reading a lot of reviews on ASUS I thought they would respond. Except for the RAID issue I do like the board. The BIOS is slick and easy to use. The board is laid out well.
Pros: Shipment came in promptly for a new build. First ASUS build and this board had all I wanted, I thought.
Cons: I had to hunt for drivers more than I probably should have had to but did finally find everything. The problem is that I wanted to run a SSD for the OS and programs with a RAID 5 for data. NOT POSSIBLE on this card, strange. DDR3-1600 didn't want to stay stable at that speed and would revert back...
Pros: Loads of SATA ports, even has an eSATA port Tons of PCIe and PCI slots BIOS is pretty slick
Cons: No matter what I tried, I COULD NOT get the NIC drivers to take in Win7. Even the latest drivers from the Asus site didn't work. I finally had to go to the Realtek site and download the drivers directly from there, and it finally worked. I'm taking off two stars for clumsy NIC driver support. Oth...
