Summary: 2-11-2014 Update to my last review. I just ordered a ASUS MAXIMUS V EXTREME Motherboard from Amazon to replace my last MoBo that came in used. The Phone Support assisted me with an issuee I had and they were very professional. They handled my issue very well and made me feel that I was being taken care of all the way through the telephone conversation Thank You Amazon! I ordered this ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS New! and received a Used Damaged Part!
Summary: Received board in a timely manner. Installed motherboard. No boot. After much diagnostics found out A1 A2 memory slots not functioning, had to run board on B1 B2. Could not run dual channel. USB 3 no faster than USB 2. Hot Swap function not working. Sent board into Asus for warranty repair. Quality control at Asus lacking.
Summary: I purchased this product about 8-9 months ago so I feel that I have a pretty good perspective to give a review. I got it on sale for around $105 and I've been nothing but super satisfied with my purchase. I built a system from scratch (i5 + 7950) and it was easy to set up and I haven't had any issues almost 9 months later. It gives me options in the future to add another GPU, increase the RAM or whatever else I need to extend my build down the line.
Summary: Purchased at Newegg because of a combo deal giving me $65 off while purchasing some Crucial VLP 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 8GB RAM. I basically got free RAM from buying this board. The board functions great and remains pretty cool even with modest cooling. The EPU/TPU switches on the board are a bit confusing as they have no indication of which setting is ON or OFF. If the switches are closest to the I/O ports, it means they are off.
Summary: Just finished my build on this one ,very nice Bios graphics and you can use you mouse to set things up instad of the clumsy up and down keys on the older board. This has unlocked 3 gen I-5 on it with 32 megs of Vengence 1600 meory and next month it will upgrade its video card to a msi Gtx 950 ti so it will be a real screamer playing games .All because I got a smoking deal on a full gamer tower case for $39.99 with all the bells and whistles including a top drawer sata...
Summary: Very happy with this purchase. Some of it's highlights. Supports 2nd & 3rd generation i7, i5, i3 CPU's. PCIe 3.0. SMART Digi+ power, and japanese capacitors throughout. The z77 chipset supports 6 sata devices, 2 are SATA 6.0, and 4 SATA 3.0. Marvell Controller supports a single internal SATA 6.0 Data only storage device and includes a eSATA connection on the back of the case. USB 3.0 support is provided by intel and Asmedia chipsets.
Summary: Very easy MB to work with for my first build. I have it paired with an i3 3225, and 8 gigs of Kingston Ram. Pretty much just plug everything in and go. Very easy set up without any trouble. I would recommend this board highly for a first build or anyone else for that matter. You can also overclock with this board provided you have a K CPU.
Summary: In the first place this is an excellent mother board. But the box for the Asus P8Z77-V LE Plus contained a Asus P8Z77-V LE driver disk, the wrong disk which does not load the drivers. Talking with Asus support was useless, the did not have the right disk or did not understand the problem. I am left without enabled USB and LAN etc. functions so no Internet access. If this cannot be resolved the board will be returned.
