Summary: Core i5 3570k (3.4 Quad w/ 3.8 Turbo) G Skill Ripjaw 4 x 4GB (1600) Seasonic 750Watt power supply MSI Cyclone 460 WIN 7 64 BIT
Pros: Nice layout. Four DDR3 RAM slots. USB 3.0 HDMI
Cons: Stopped working after two years. No overclocking with plenty of cooling. I use this PC for photo and video editing. Non-gamer PC using standard voltages across the mother board. I've always purchased ASUS or MSI for the past five years after experiencing problems with other brands. Not sure what ...
Summary: I am an Asus fanboy, but I started getting weary of their motherboards during the Core2 days and I started noticing corners being cut with the PCBs. Then I recently had a similar standard ATX board from Asus come DOA and it was a nightmare to RMA. A horrible, time and money costing nightmare.
Pros: Has been running a 3570k with varying, intense overclocks for over a year now. Awesome board. Z77, good price for the vast amount of features and power capabilities in MicroATX form.
Cons: Asus does some weird things with their layouts sometimes but with this board it was minimal so I have no complaints. I guess it could have used more USB 3.0 ports considering Gigabyte has almost every port on their boards USB 3.0 and is probably going to abandon 2.0 altogether.
Summary: I have come to fall back in love w/ Asus products again after a rough patch bout 8-10 yrs ago. Upgraded the wife's box w/ this board along w/ an I5 3470 CPU & 8 Gbs DDR3 1600 mem. Didn't have any issues w/ the board...all fired right up! Good product but may be going EOL due to Haswell.
Pros: Asus, what else you want? Love the BIOS, microATX layout, solid feel, works well. The intergrated graphics capability is much better than I thought it would be.
Summary: In all fairness,1st bad board from Asus in 20 builds, will buy more. A little better inspection process in the future, please.
Cons: Installed board, red ram light came on, swapped ram, light still on, swapped PSU, light still on, pulled CPU and reset, nothing. Tried to RMA, but somewhere during this whole process the CPU pins got damaged, now it's a doorstop. Thanks, Asus.
Pros: Working as intended, compact, easy install. Installed in a In Win Dragon Slayer case with I-5 3570K, AMD Sapphire R9 290, EVGA 750 power supply, and 16gb G. 8x2 Skill Sniper, using Cooler Master S524.
Cons: Cons: Only 1 set of front power connectors. I know this is a micro atx board but the heat spreader is right next to main PCI slot and is extremely close to touch graphic card. Lastly I don’t know whether it’s the case or the motherboard but the holes to secure to case are not lined up well. I kno...
Cons: DOA twice. Receieved two off these motherboards and both will not boot at all. The first one i received from a different company. The second one i drove down to newegg to pick up and the same thing. Contacted ASUS tech support and nothing helped, I verified everthing connected correctly and power...
