Summary: I got this motherboard 1.5 years ago and it was working great until 3 month ago when the system would not start unless i reset the CMOS battery. I've tried 3 other power supply and the problem persisted, so I just left my computer on 24/7 to avoid the problem.
Summary: I have been buying mostly AUSU products lately and all was well until I bought this Mainboard. It has a major design flaw, The board will not power up after being powered down for an extended period of time unless you disconnect the power cord and remove the CMOS battery.
Summary: These boards seem to have an issue with the onboard Intel HD4000 graphics. It refuses to work with two monitors, one vga and one DVI-D. The monitors mirror each other until the windows login screen, when the DVI one shuts off and the vga only stays on. Windows does not detect the DVI monitor at all.
Summary: I only got this thing to start up twice. I have a Cooler Master 1200W Silent Gold (on the QVL) and it wouldn't start. ASUS "support" tried to sell me a service contract. Go with the P8Z77-M if you want to stay with ASUS. I didn't have any problems with that board.
Summary: After each shutdown I have to clear the CMOS by removing the jumper on the board, inside the computer case, to get it to POST. Already flashed latest BIOS, tried different BIOS settings, checked for incompatibility with other parts and no solution.
Summary: Lots of people have reported issues with this board. Check out reviews at places like newegg. Basically, if you are unlucky enough to get a dud board, (and there seem to be a lot judging by the number of people reporting the same issue) it will frequently not power on.
